3-In-1 Batjet
The Batman Series 2: Mattel, 2004 SKU# H1317

The Batman has more than just a Batmobile and Batcycle to get around Gotham in. The 3-In-1 Batjet is three vehicles in one nice package. Although when my 9 year old saw it apart he wondered why it was called ?3-In-1? when there are only ?two vehicles?. To be honest I agree with him, as the base piece alone as a vehicle is not very exciting.
There are two vehicles that snap together. A ?Batcycle? snaps into a base piece with hydrofoils on it. There are small wheels in the foil tips so it can easily roll along most hard surfaces.

There is a small turbo prop at the rear that spins by hand, but not freely. There is the ever-present ?projectile launcher? that every Batman vehicle seems to need. It is removable from the right side of the ?Batcycle?
The 3-In-1 Batjet has two different electronic sounds, one a roaring motorcycle and the other a ?whooshing? almost ocean waves sort of sound. Pressing the Bat Logo (a cleverly hidden button) on the left side of the Cycle activates them. There is also a neat second 3-Way Switch underneath the cycle that will toggle between the sounds. With the cycle snapped into the base you get the ?whooshing? sound. Take the cycle out and you get the cycle sound. There?s a mercury switch inside and when it?s set just moving the vehicle will activate the sound.

There is a clear blue canopy that flips open to so The Batman can get in. No figure is included with the 3-In-1 Batjet, so you?ll need a Triple Shot Batman for it. It?s a very snug fit Zip Action Batman and most of the Batman variants will not fit in it.
SPECS:
Combined Unit: 13? Long, 8 5/8? Wide, 4 7/8? Tall. Cycle: 8 5/8? Long, 2 5/8? Wide, 3 3/8? Tall. Two Electronic sounds, Firing Projectile.

PROS:
It?s got good play value and the ability to keep the sounds going just by playing a moving the vehicle are sure to fascinate kids while driving their parents nuts. Having at least two cool vehicles for The Batman is great.

CONS:
The projectile launcher was annoying. It?s small unit with a big button and just barely touching it anywhere is bound to set it off. The main rear prop should have been free spinning like a wheel.

OVERALL:
This is a pretty good buy. It?s not a must have unless you?re a hardcore Batman collector who has to have everything. However, if your giving a present, pick up one of these and a Triple Shot Batman figure and you?ll give a kid joy for hours at a time.
