Wow. I am surprised that they turned Batgirl into someone that cold. I guess it was taking after her mother... and her father really.
For those that are interested in the changes for Catwoman. There is a preview for the issue HERE
Whoever the new Catwoman is, she is very inexperienced. Another event that has long been rumored to happen seems to happen earlier in the title than I would have guessed.

Looking at the preview, Selina is addressed to as Mrs. Dubrovna> So the question I would ask, who is the father and did she marry him? Perhaps it could be an alias that she adopted. |

I am pretty new to the recent Catwoman supporting cast. The events in the past couple of issues tend to point to Sam Bradley, Slam Bradley's son. I have barely heard of Slam, and I think that Sam is a really new character. There is basically 3 months worth of romancing before Selina gets pregnant since she delivers 1 year later. Of course I don't hold comic book time as a hard progression, but a lot can happen in 3 months never mind that there is a year gap.
I would read very little into the name although it would be intresting if there was some tie in with the identity of a classic character. Needless to say, the plot thickens.

Heh, I have that movie. It's actually pretty good. I imgaine that was just a subtle joke on the part of the writers, not a real clue as to her new husband's identity.

so i think she changed her name! why else would they say it? even as a joke it'd confuse people. they'd be like "hey! i thought her name was dubrovna!"

infinte crisis #5 review. major spoilers.
issue starts of with mr.terrific and some other guy. i think its the new specture. mr. terrific is a atheist. didnt know that...
but that waqs only the begining. we see the jsa people. they're in earth 2. not much happens there. the bad thing about this issue is we don't see much of earth 2. booster brings that blue beetle guy to the batcave blindfolded. booster says he's the new blue beetle. it think they could've made him come in cooler. i guess not...
so booster makes his team to take down brotherI. it's the minor people from the jla and jli. green arrows there:p:p:p
nightwing keeps on saying it's over when the titans and outsiders fight to keep the world held together. suddenly, multiple earths pop out of no where!!! i thought that was awesome. superboy comes and then they leave.
im saving the best for last. so after the nightwing thing wally comes back like barry did in coie. he dissapears saying they couldn't stop it coming...
superboy prime in armor!!! i wasn't surprised because they have a figure of it at dc direct. i knew it would come in.
wonderwoman talks to ww earth 2. ww earth 2 tells the normal ww to be more human. ww gos to earth 2 to help superman. whos getting beat down superman earth 2.
yeah. the fight we've all been waiting for came just as i thought. superman would want to help and then sm earth 2 would win. you could even tell by the cover. but just in time, ww flys in and tells hijm to stop. he does of course. sm earth 2 got mad because....
lois lane of earth 2 is dead. yup. you may not think of her as a classic charecter because she's not the lois we knew. but she was the first.

Dammit, I was all ready to go and buy so many comics on Wednesday......but then I didn't and now I'll have to search to find this issue somewhere.
At least I was able to get all caught up reading all the issues. This issue sounds good, I've been waiting for Superman to fight Superman. So is everyone just freely going back and forth between the multiple worlds or what?

My only thing about IC 5 is that I could not figure out the "key event" that leads to OYL. I plan on reading it again to grasp what happened, but I am confused about wht the "key event" is. |

My bad I thought the "key event" was supposed to occur in IC #5, not #6. |

It was a good issue, although not the jaw-dropper the first four were. This one really felt like the lull before the storm, a breif respite before things get their worst. The "transformed villain" who returns is no surprise, although I did like it. I have plenty of theories about where this is going. From this point on, this post will be full of spoilers.
The Flash who returns from the speed force to warn Dr. Light that Superboy Prime has escaped is Barry Allen. There are differences between Barry and Wally's costumes, so this was obviously Barry. Either that, or the artist just screwed up and drew thw rong costume. I doubt that, though. When Superboy Prime shows up, he's wearing parts of the Anti-Monitor's armor. :bigeek: I hope this leads where I've been wanting it to all along, the Anti-Monitor's return! He was pure energy, after all. There are any number of ways he could have survived the climactic battle at the end of Crisis On Infinite Earths. His mind could have lain dormant within Superboy Prime or Alex Luthor for all these years, as he rebuilt his strength.
The guy talking to Mr. Terrific at the beginning is Ragman, no the Spectre. Although we saw last issue that Crispus Allen is the new host, he has yet to actually appear as the Spectre.
The assault on Brother Eye will be covered in the OMAC Project IC special, wich is due out later this month. Just a heads-up for those of you who don't know, and want to see the battle.
In the end, the purpose of this issue was to put all the players in place for the finale of the series. By now, everyone knows what they're supposed to do, and we're all set for the climax. Earth 2 Superman is finally ready to take the fight to Luthor, Batman has assembled his team to take down Brother Eye, and Superboy Prime (possibly the new host for the Anti-Monitor) has returned for the final showdown. I'm ready for it. I just hope this series suffers no more delays. The next issue had been scheduled for the first week of April, but it's now been rescheduled for the last week of March. Hope it stays there.

Awesome issue. It really fits in well with the past three issues of the Superman titles which are set during the fight between Superman-1 and Superman-2. Booster seemed really out of character in some parts. He just out of no where is a decent detective who can figure out the team that Batman wants to attack Brother I with. Everything else with him was great, but that moment pulled me out of the book. EDIT: Nevermind, I forgot about the whole Booster's from the future thing, so basically whne he was in the future he looked up who was on the team. It was pretty cool to see Womder Woman-2 giving advice to Wonder Woman, also nice to see the return of the original invisible plane.
I HATE that DC Direct showed the Superboy-Prime figure so far ahead. It killed what might have made the issue have more punch to it. They work so hard to keep us in suspense and one person in the figure division screw it up. Nothing to change that now though.

TT #33 is a really good look at Nightwing and Superboy. Basically it shows them going to the Arctic to stop the people behind this. Pretty good story, but not the most necessary thing to read. Superboy had a great line about feeling like he was hanging out with his best friend's older brother and screwing everything up.
