* Note* Parts 1 and 2 have been combined in this thread

Part 1

I recorded the show with mt DVR, when I started it Ivy, Batman Batgirl were already fighting...I'm like OMG, what happened? The DVR started too late...ARRRRGH!

No, Barbara begins to narrate and I'm like, oh...ok.

I'm not keen on that type of beginning of a story, unless its done correctly...to me it was not needed...they should've started it like any other Batman show. Oh, and BTW...I really didn't like the new theme music...sorta a 60's retro feel with Hawaii 5-0 overtones. (for those of you that remember the show Hawaii 5-0)

Ok, Barbara and Pamela start off stealing (saving) a tree from a big business type polluter. These little eco attacks are actually Pamela casing these businesses for The Temblor, another new villian with huge mechanical hands used to destroy the buildings by smashing the ground (Hulk style). He reminds me of Shriek from Batman Beyond...his attacks were of the same manner. Anyway Pamela pretends to pay him by disguising her voice via computer...of course being a teenager she really doesn't have the money to pay and the Temblor gets wise to her. He attacks her and Barbara at one of the said buildings and Pamela gets doused with mutant plant spores. Barbara sees Batman in action for the 1st time and is mesmerized. Temblor is defeated goes to jail, Pamela is taken to hospital but wakes up with plant sparklyys fade to black. To be continued...

Ok episode, I expected more...not just more episode, more everything. Perhaps part 2 will satisfy. Comm Gordon and Batman's relationship seems to be going fine...no Rojas/Yin dialogue this episode...YIPPEE!!!

Temblor was a cool villian, but still reminds of other villians from recent Batman shows.

Because of the empty feeling I had when the show went off, I'm going to rate this episode 7.9/10.

Part 2

I have some problems with Poison Ivy and Part 2, let me explain a bit.

Most comic book heroes/villians are fantasy, but the story is told in a way that gives them some hint of believability in our minds...Poison Ivy does not fall into this category. Plants coming to life, walikng around like humans for no other reason than...she happens to be nearby. Blah. No strange radioactivity? No chemicals she uses to manipulate plants in a way that gives them life? C'mon...Gimmie the old Pamela Isley the plant biologist that manipulated plants with growth hormones and chemicals...however improbable, at least some degree of believability.

Poison Ivy does not score with me.

Ok, The Batgirl...clumsy way to bring her into the story, but it could work still given time...if done correctly. I won't be so judgmental on her yet.

I rate the second episode 6/10

::bbbruce::Needs work fellas.
