A rumor that was posted on Toymania, that was also posted on Toonzone that became this article; the classic team-up comic book The Brave And The Bold could be the next DC Comics-inspired animated series from Warner Bros. Animation.

While nothing is confirmed at this time, The Brave And The Bold animated series will apparently center around Batman teaming up with a different DC superhero in each episode. Either that, or have random team-ups between several DC characters. The series will also apparently have no ties to any previous animated incarnations. The Brave And The Bold is rumored to premiere next fall though, once again, nothing is confirmed at this time.

If this is or not true, either way, news on the next DC-inspired animated series should start trickling out soon. Stay tuned!

Yea, I hope this comes through. It'll be a tiny bit like The Batman season 5 (team-up episodes only) but not just with JL.

The rumor didn't include the idea of being a Batman team-up series, that was added in the Toonzone article.

Personally, I don't want another Batman series for another few years (maybe several). Because it comes to a point where I want there to be a show about, or focus on, DC characters that ain't just Batman. Superman has Legion of Super Heroes, but what about Wonder Woman? Maybe Superman should get another show that is all about him, and not shared by half with the Legion of Superheroes.

I'm just an equal guy who says that if there are three Batman movies, Superman should get the same number. And Wonder Woman, and the JLA (hopefully) shouldn't be any different. Same goes for shows. I mean Batman wouldn't exist without Superman, and one thing I hate about the DCAU is that Batman was considered more important. No he's not, Superman is. Like what Alexander Luthor said in Infinite Crisis "everything comes from Superman".

I just hope Brave and the Bold is not a Batman show. I'm getting sick and tired of more Batman and less Superman, Wonder Woman, and many others.

I don't want this show lol, why is it everyone has to cross contaminate franchises? I mean JL has been going on for so long that Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman are never treated as their own franchises anymore...

Now Nolan seems intent on keeping the movies seperate, why can't we do that with cartoons and comics? Do we really need guest apearances from other DC heros in a cartoon? Do we really need another team up show? And do we really need a giant multi-franchise story arch EVERY year?

I say make another Superman cartoon, make a Wonder Woman cartoon, maybe wait a few years and do a Batman cartoon aimed at adults... But for God's sake stop with the crossovers!

Another Superman cartoon? He actually gets the most exposure, even more than Batman. He's got LOSH, Smallville, and not to mention there hasn't been a single year without something Superman related since 1987 showing on TV.

The type of show I'd like to see next is continuing the anime style Batman with Conroy back. I know it won't happen but I can dream.

anime styled batman. now that's a good idea. think about how many new fans batman will get. i think even gotham knight alone will attract new fans, but with a whole series, there will be even more. not to mention more adult themed episodes.

are you sure the brave and the bold thing wasn't another name for season 5 of TB?

but in any case...as long as there is some kind of batman show, i'll be happy. and goodness, can we get passed dick grayson as robin? i'd love to see a cartoon with tim drake, not jason todd with tim's name(tnba).

Lets look at it another way.. who is more popluar? Don't go on a Batman board and tell people that Baman is not imporant. Batman can take down every Hero, it's been proven. He's the third smartess peron in the DCU, LEx and Mr. Teriffic have him beat... He's human, and is the best at what he does.

So is he more imporant. Yes.

Look dude, I came under a lot of fire just by saying Superman and Spider-man had more influence in the comic industry, and that's not in anyway saying they're better heroes in anyway (good times). So you're basically putting your head on the choping block by saying Superman's a better hero.

Like I said, they are seperate franchises. To say Batman is usless without Superman is a bit like saying a rock band that's inspired by Led Zepplin could never work because the Zep is gone...

I'll also point out that no Marvel characters would exist without Superman. So should Marvel stop being so Spidey centered and focus on Superman too?

Batman has come a long way from 1939.
who is the greatest/most popular superhero?
3 comes to mind
Batman, Spider-man and Superman.
I think its safe to say everyone who is a writer in comics would love to write/do a story on Batman...... not sure about the other 2

Ok, now I'll play devil's advocate for poor Nate...

He's free to like whatever hero he likes. We can't all gang up and say "Batman is the greatest hero ever and if you don't believe us you're retarded". Now for him to say Superman is more important is ridiculous (sorry) because even if he inspired Batman, the two character's aren't comparable. They just aren't.

Superman draws an audience from his powers, Batman's main draw is his character and his intelligence. Superman is a heroic, archityple superhero; Batman is a dark vigilante who dresses like a monster to scare people.

To say one is more important than the other is rediculous. You might as well argue about apples being better than oranges. Just pick the one you like and let other people like who they like.

I have nothing against Superman and he is a great superhero if not one of the best.
You are Right, Raz, we cant say one is better since both are different and the same in many ways.

I do notice DC is giving Batman much more intention in the media and im fine by it but i guess Nate is notBYTBRazz

I would like to see a DC Superheroes Team-Up Cartoon series as long the following are acceptable.

1. Let Wonder Woman appear in some episodes.
2. The Green Lantern is Hal Jordan and Not Stewart.
3. Let Aquaman appear in some episodes and not restricted by some embargo thing.
4. Every DC Superhero gets an appearance(including Black Lightning, Blue Beetle(Ted Kord) and Plastic Man).riddler2

The media attention stems from one simple fact, Batman's been more popular to the general media.

When movies of Superman do well, Batman movies do better. When Superman cartoons are succesful Batman's cartoons do better. Who sells more action figures? Batman.

The truth is WB and DC give him so much attention because they know that he's a better money machine. I'm not saying a better hero, but so far his monetary value exceeds most other heroes. (I think Spidey's the only hero who really competes with him in pure marketability)

That being said, if they sat down and did something real special for Superman, I'm sure he could get up there with Batman, they just need to find the BTAS or Begins to trigger it.

I thought Superman Returns made more money than Batman Begins. Batman's worldwide lifetime gross was $371,853,783 while Superman was $391,081,192. The information was from boxofficemojo.

I have to disagree but Superman is more well known to the general community than Batman. The Superman logo alone has been used millions of times and people immediately recognize it. On television, you have Smallville which attracted new fans regardless if they knew about Superman or not. Not to mention that the character of Superman has been consistently on the small screen since 1987.

Starting with Superboy from 1987-1992, then followed by Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman from 1993-1997. Next was Superman: The Animated Series from 1997-2000 followed by Smallville from 2001-now. Justice League also gave him more exposure from 2001-2006. Legion of Superheroes premiered in 2006 and the same year was the release of Superman Returns. Oh and let's not forget the Richard Donner cut of Superman II which fans begged WB for. Ah yes and there's also Supermanbig grinoomsday. Superman is absolutely accessible anywhere. This season alone, he's appeared in 3 seperate shows. The Batman, Smallville, and Legion of Superheroes.

Superman doesn't need something special anymore. He's been the golden boy for WB for 20 years.

i wonder who will direct brave and the bold. i'm hoping for someone entirely new. as cool and hip The Batman and LOSH is, i think it's time for a super hero renaissance. let's go back to the 90's and use more realistic proportions. and with today's animation, they can make it look 10x better than BTAS.
