I thought I should make a thread of the DTV being the main one instead of having ALOT of them. So any discussion about the DTV, before and after its release, goes here.

Anyway, here the update from the Continuum from 7/29/06:

David Slack, writer/producer of the upcoming Teen Titans: Trouble in Tokyo animated movie, dropped a few hints about the film recently at Comic-Con International, where the film was screened.

"Without giving anything away, there's a little bit of romance between two our lead characters," Slack said.

Slack said he handed the story-editing chores to Rob Hoegee and Amy Wolfram for the fifth season of the Teen Titans series to focus on the film.

"Obviously, if you're going to have it take place in Japan, there's a lot of Japanese things that you need to see," Slack said.

You don't get it, boy... this isn't a mudhole... it's an operating table.
(crack!)
And I'm the surgeon.

im not too excited about this one. it just looks like one big episode or something, nothing new. the animation looks the same and it concentrates on the main 4 titans.

id probably like it more if we got to see ALL those teen titans working together as seen on the last or second to last episode.

I liked the badguy's design with the pink and blue effects. And as usual the overall sound design and art design I enjoyed.

But it felt like an extra long episode of Teen Titans, and not a special story that many DTVs are. If it had been structured less like an episode and more like a movie plot, it might've been a little more enjoyable.

But it was entertaining, nto to mention refreshing since there'll be no more Teen Titans episodes.
