PLOT:
Superman unknowingly saves the life of Alexis, one of the wealthiest people in the galaxy. Alexis and Superman become fast friends, but when Superman's Legion responsibilities get in the way of their friendship, Alexis decides to do something about it...
REVIEW:
In an interview with one of the people invovled with the show, it was stated that one episode would have a theme of greed. And I was wondering how that would be handled in this show. Of course, from the reviews I've made with this show, this thinking I had was before the show aired. Since the first episode, this was no kids show. Sure it had some moments that made it as such but it could have stories that have a matured feeling. So it was just the thought of what would happen...
Alexis starts out as your action-wanted young girl. She even goes as far as breaking the law (like stealing someone's bike) to have fun with Superman. When he is with her, Superman bonds with Alexis even when he can relate to her trying to find friends that were real friends. It even goes to Superman and how he kinda feels that the legion to him is just a team but not really friends. She then takes the dark turn in the third act when he forces Superman to fight a bad guy robot that was actually her robot butler (I know that's cheesy). When Superman decides to be the legion insead of Alexis, she instead hires the bad guys the legion were working against to get rid of them while Superman is away. After the final battle, an explosion causes her to lose her hair (it starts growing back so she is not the female Lex Luthor of LoSH) and decides to go against the LoSH.
When he mentions Alexis, Superman is told by the Legion how rich she is and give examples. But when Superman, when he is having fun with Alexis, turns off his communicator to ignore Brainiac 5, Brainiac 5 is hurt in battle. When Superman finds this out, he feels responsible (even after Brainiac 5's let down, and harsh words). That's why his time with her goes down and him with the legion goes back up. Which leads to her being evil by the episode's end.
The episode's theme of greed was thought to emerge with Alexis and her rich state when she appeared, but it actually emerges when she WANTS Superman to herself. Alexis even goes as far as helping the bad guys to get rid of the legion just to have Superman to herself. At first this was about greed on money, but its another form of greed but with wanting instead. The moral of this story: you can't always get what you want.
Overall, this was a matured episode that focuses on greed one can have against others to get what he or she wants, and the effects of the actions. It also focused on responsibility of Superman and how he can not avoid, nor ignore, those in need. This was a good episode.
RATING: 8/10
You don't get it, boy... this isn't a mudhole... it's an operating table.
(crack!)

The show tried to deal with Superman's personal life and interaction with league members. Weak. The whole "Paris Hilton" syndrome thing is boring.
The scavengers were more interesting even though I thought they should have been EASY for the league to take out, even without Superman present....after all they were just walking straight in shooting lasers.
Now Alexis is some sort of rich girl turned enemy...for some reason thats sorta stupid.
Brainiac is irritating...whine, whine, whine.
5.5/10 - just average.
:| - meh.

I read that Alexis is a descendant to Lex Luthor.
Umm, I'm sorry for those who didn't want to hear this but new episodes to LoSH (and TB) will resume on the beginning of November. This is going by the schedule at toonzone.net

It would've been nice is they said Alexis was a Luthor descendant, even tho its pretty obvious in the way they suggested it (red head, goes bald, likes Supes then hates him, is uber rich and manipulative, aLEXis)
Overall, it was an ok episode. When will we start seeing Triplicate girl and the rest of the legion members though? I want to see more of the supporting cast.
And Brainiac's misunderstanding of humans is a nice plot to follow, and its not forced at all. Hopefully this will be expanded on later in the series.
