REVIEW:
If you know the Legion of Super-Heroes from the comics, you may remember a character that appeared in the Silver Age comic books called Mon-El (then Valor). Basically he was Superman's Big Brother (while Superman was actually Superboy at the time), and joined him and then later the Legion of Super-Heroes. The description of this episode did lead the idea of Mon-El appearing but the screens of the episode did show someone who didn't look like Mon-El and had an "Z" for his name. So is this still Mon-El or someone based on him? Let's find out.
The episode was another good one. The episode began with Clark trying to find out about his future from his museum. Brainiac 5 mentioned that all records of Superman's origin was lost during the great crisis (Crisis of Infinite Earths anyone?). Clark finds the Phatom Zone (the same one from the DCAU, and something no one, not even the LoSH, remember what it is) and accidently releases Drax. After their first battle, Drax gets voices in his head about why he was trained which was to destroy Superman while the Legion finds out Drax is Superman's genetic equal which adds into the mystery. Even when he says he wants to stop him before he becomes what is going to become.
We saw more of the rest of the Legion here. Phantom Girl, isn't she cute, is always saying to Timber Wolf that she can handle herself while Timber Wolf always seems to go out and protect her. She consdiers herself a princess who doesn't need help. And when you always a guy and a girl acting like this, it kinda means that they maybe fall in love in the show. Brainiac surprised me here. He tries to trick Drax and uses kryptonite on him, which doesn't work. Since he worships Superman, you have to wonder what else he does know. And if that includes the other Brainiac that fought Superman. Drax does mention to Superman about Brainiac "knowing alot of things" so at least Superman does know that.
Well it turned out Mon-El wasn't the villian, but someone named Drax. He is the brother of someone, and that's Darkseid. Basically Drax is also known as Infinity Man that first appeared in Forever People #1. Like in the comics, he has the same powers as Superman but unlike the comics, he is a villian in the show while he became a hero in the comics. There are other differences like his pets that also have powers, and the costume which in the show is a dark version of Superman's. Also, for some reason his costume made me think of Tim Burton's Superman from the purposed Superman Lives project. Maybe its that goth like look on a Superman-type suit that led me there.
Overall, this episode was another good one. It had some darkness in it and we got another baddie that was also a good one and I hope he comes back since he has a dark connection to Superman and what he will become.
RATING: 8/10

Good episode. Drax was a formidable foe. I dig how his dogs looked like Bizarro's pet dog on STAS. Although I have enjoyed LOSH so far, each episode (with the exception of Timberwolf episode) leaves me feeling empty somehow. Not sure why.
This series is going places.

I need to make a statement: after finding out key things and realizing stuff that I didn't even see or hear, I'm going to revise my review for LoSH 104. I want to do that because its better to be corrected on things from the storyline and the epsiode in general rather than to leave it as it is.
So here is my revised version of my review:

Well it turned out Mon-El wasn't the villian, but someone named Drax. When I first heard his name, I went online and tried to see who this guy was. The only thing I got was a brother of Darkseid. Since we heard Darkseid might appear in a second season, I went with that. However, there were still clues about him. The first clue was the "Z", second was the fact he came from the Phantom Zone, the third was the voices like "don't fail us" & the idea that Drax will free "him", the fourth was the fact he has Superman's powers and was geneticlly equal to him and that his parents made sure he wouldn't die of kryptonite, the fifth was the line "its not about what who've done, its about what you will do" and the final was the ones inside the Phantom Zone: someone lookign liek Doomsday but one of them looked like a general. My theory is, that could be shared my many, is that Drax might be General Zod's son. It would make sense as you would have to wonder why he is wearing a "Z" on his chest when his name starts with a "D". Its the only idea that makes sense: Drax, a son to Zod.
Overall, this episode was another good one. It had some darkness in it and we got another baddie that was also a good one and I hope he comes back since he has a dark connection to Superman and what he will become.
