The "Legion of Super Heroes" expands its ranks again this Saturday, October 27 in an all-new episode entitled "The Karate Kid."
When the dreaded Legion Auditions produce just one potential new member Nemesis Kid Superman goes out recruiting, and finds an unlikely candidate to join the Legion. A perpetual underdog, Karate Kid has no super powers which goes against Legion membership rules but Superman believes he has the heart to join the Legion. As the Legion hunts down Grimbor the Chainsman, Karate Kid believes he can be an asset, while the others worry he is only putting himself in harm¹s way. Keith Ferguson ("Foster¹s Home For Imaginary Friends" voices both Karate Kid and Nemesis Kid. Eddie Guzelian wrote the episode, which was directed by Brandon Vietti and Scott Jeralds.
"The Karate Kid" episode of "Legion of Super Heroes" airs Saturday, October27 at 11:00 a.m. ET/PT as part of the Kids' WB! Lineup on The CW Network.

Ok. A guy comes in and defeats Superman and a couple other Legionnaires with holograms and chains. No way. How stupid and unrealistic. Legionnaire tryouts...saw some cool guys that were definitely legion material, but they were passed up for The Karate Kid. Ok. The Chain guy gets more interesting and believable in the last fight and Karate Kid and Cham defeats him with "grasshopper" type chants throughout the entire episode, which BTW was annoying.
This was one of those episodes filled with "fluff" and weak performances by powerful legionnaires. I hated it at first, but it got better towards the end and went from a 5 out of 10 to a 7.4/10.
Rate: 7.4/10
- meh.

i actually really liked it.
since when were cartoons ever realistic? and besides...i dont know which is more unrealistic...an alien that looks human with super powers from radiation of the yellow sun, or a kid that knows karate and beat the human-looking alien with super powers. i'd say it's a draw.
i think it had a good message too. the legion was being prejudice against asians with no super powers, but superman gave him a chance. and now that i think about it; i think superman let karate kid beat him.
liked it a lot too!
Karate Kid at first sounded to me like the voice over of Samurai Jack but then at the end it wasnt. It was funny too and i liked how he was given a chance by Superman (probably because Supes knows how to handle these guys Just like it the 2nd episode of LOSH 2nd season where Supes was like "Your kinda like my other friend" reffering to Batman) Now when my friend/family says something like "aww man i'll never do this!" ill be like "Through ever obstacle there is a solution" quoting Karate Kid. And i keep laughing but anyway the epiode wat gret. I liked Karate Kid better than Nemisess kid though.
