(Why not Katie Holmes???!)
Cillian Murphy ... Dr. Jonathan Crane / The Scarecrow
(I didnt think he would return! )

Dawes has a bigger role in this movie, and since Holmes isn't that good an actress it's necissary to get someone who can hold a lead.
What's wrong with Scarecrow? He rocked in Begins and he'll rock here.
Barbara Gordon as in Jim Gordon's wife, not Batgirl... Read Year One or Long Halloween, she's in those books. As is Jim Jr.

I think Tom Cruise had something to do with Katie Holmes not returning. I thought she was OK in Batman Begins and I wish she had come back since all the others did.
I hope Scarecrow is limited to more of a cameo than anything else. Just to finish up any loose ends. With The Joker and Two-Face in the film as well there are just too many villains with Scarecrow taking up too much screen time.
By the third film maybe we’ll see a young Barbara Gordon, but don’t count on it. I doubt we see Robin or Batgirl in a Nolan Batman film.

I personally like the cast. Though I know Begins was an origin story for Batman, I think there was so much more they could've done with Scarecrow. Unfortunately, it's completely obvious that Joker will be the main focus, so Scarecrow probably won't have a big role again, as I don't believe he was seen filming anything outside the parking garage (and we all know that doesn't appear to go well for him). While Cillian Murphy himself rocked, I feel Scarecrow as a character was really underused.
Like I said, though, I like the cast, and I'm sure it'll be awesome. the only one I'm questioning is Eric Roberts as Sal Maroni. I was never a really big Eric Roberts fan. we'll see how he does.

Same here, I heard that Katie was rumored to move away from Tom and maybe he got worried or something.

I'm not sure. In the leaked footage of them filming the scene, Scarecrow has his buisness suit on, and in the old Wizard article, back when MM series 1 came out, they said they were going to do Scarecrow in series 2, but it would be his Begins appearance, with the straightjacket. And I'm not sure anyone's seen any footage of him outside the parking garage, so I assume it's going to be a 1-2 minute cameo at best, but at least they have him at all! They could just pull a lame stunt, and have Gordon mention they caught him, or something. I'm just hoping he doesn't die. If he's at least imprisoned, that leaves it open for maybe a future jailbreak.

If they made a Superman Batman movie I would think somebody would chose for him to be in the movie, since he appeared in Worlds Finest comics.

The Dark Knight Scarecrow toy is Skull Strike Scarecrow from the Batman Begins line. It is basically how he looked at the end of the movie when he rode the horse. He had his suit on underneath the unbuttoned straight jacket. I don't have the Dark Knight one, but the Begins one has suit pants under the leg part of the straight jacket.
As for his appearance, who knows. He was not killed or captured, so he's fair game.

I'm really glad Scarecrow is returning. He was SO cool in Batman Begins. Cilian was awesome and really creepy! |
