Imagine you've been put in charge as writer and director of the rest of the Batman movie series set in the Nolanverse... What are the plots, actors, characters, etc? No use of Heath Ledger btw unless it's his face edited in or unused footage we KNOW exists. Fan videos and pictures/posters are welcomed.

*For Batman 3, stick to what we know has been cofirmed

Here's my line-up...

Batman 3: The Dark Knight Rises

Six months after "the Joker incident," Jim Gordon has set a mission for GCPD: hunt the Batman. As Batman is chased by the cops such as new detective hired specifically for the job (since other key detectives have been murdered by Joker or fired) Harvey Bullock (Tom Hardy), the media believes that Bruce Wayne is missing. When questioned about Wayne's dissappearence, Alfred tells police that he cannot give away that information which he actually doesn't know. As Batman is away, hiding out with his Bat-Pod, his communication is cut from the cave he had created beneath the still being made Wayne Manor. Overtime, Jim and Alfred become good friends. Later on, Bruce befriends him as well and might decide to tell him his secret since he's been loyal to Batman and has tried to keep him in the loop and let him get away.

Meanwhile in Gotham, Black Mask (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) is taking over the mob's underworld as head. He'd have his origin ahead of time to explain his crimes. At the tenth minute of the film, Bruce returns to a home away from home. At this point, Alfred tells Bruce what has been happening on a case he requested to follow up on before his contact was cut on the Callender Killings (Callender Man reference who is seen atleast once played by Doug Hutchison). Since Alfred stumbled upon something odd while doing the research, he found out about the Black Mask who's file was deep within the police database... In other words-- hidden. Why? Black Mask is the worst threat they've faced since Ra's Al Ghul.

Throughout the film, Bruce meets Selina Kyle (Marion Cotillard who's not in much of a relationship with Bruce because let's get real, if a guy looses the love of his life by what he believes to be his own doing, he's not going to hook up with somebody else so soon) who doesn't (quite) become Catwoman until the end when it's hinted before credits. There'd be a flashback of Harvey Dent by Gordon later in the film when information of who Dent became is released to the public. Mobster focused on like Maroni in the previous film would be Rupert Thorne (Brian Cox). There'd be a Hugo Strange (Jean Rino) cameo who'd appear in the film as a corrupt Arkham phycologist (treating criminals such as Joker who would have a short edited in clip with CGI over another actor's face in a cell). However, Callender Man is the main bad guy along with Black Mask who is dealing with Thorne and giving Scarecrow orders to distract police and Batman. By the end, Batman would have restored hope in Gotham.

Here's my idea of one of the ending scenes if not the last one before credits... This is however the end of the last scene. It's supposed to resemble the end of Begins. If he assigns Batman a villain it'd be Riddler or Hugo.

GCPD ROOF - NIGHT

Batman stands on the roof as Jim Gordon speaks to him, batsignal on. They stand in eachothers' views.

BATMAN
Is there anything else you need, commisioner?

JIM
(turning around, out of Batman's sight)
Now that you've restored hope to Gotham... No.

Batman slowly walks toward the edge of the building, ready to escape without a trace.

JIM
(sarcastically)
But my anniversary as commisioner is coming up this Tuesday if you'd like to drop by Al's Coffee and Donuts. If you'd like to come, you're welcomed... Bullock will be there. Know how much you love him...

Batman haults as Jim stands near the other side of the building.

BATMAN
I'll be at the after party. There's something I need to discuss with you. (referencing to sharing his identity with Jim)

Batman jumps into the night, Jim still talking, alone.

Harvey Bullock busts through the roof's doors.

HARVEY
Hey, commish, who you talkin' to?

JIM
(looking around quickly)
Damn it!

Batman 4: Gotham Underworld

Directed by David Fincher, this new flick would be based in the Nolanverse but focus on the dark detective side to the Dark Knight (skip the name Batman, obviously that name doesn't exist anymore haha). GCPD begins getting threatening phone calls from a man who tells them his name is Edward Nashton. When Jim Gordon searches the database for Nashton, it turns up negative but he later finds the file on him in hard copy. He was the first big case that GCPD had back in the day. Once the police try tracing the calls, the addresses are those who are murdered the next day. Questions begin coming up... However, the new Nashton case isn't revealed to the public because the caller had threatened death to Gordon's wife if he did so. When it comes down to this, Gordon pays Bruce Wayne a visit, since by now he knows his identity, to tell him about the new killer. Bullock would be one of the key characters besides Riddler, Gordon, Alfred, and Lucius. Side characters include Hugo Strange and Selina Kyle who has recently become Catwoman, a simple vigalante. Thorne would once again be the main mobster. The other villain would be Ventriloquist and Scarface. This take on the character would simply be a middle aged man suffering from schitzofrenia and finding puppets a way of expressing it.

Later on in the film, Edward, a combo of Zodiac and Kevin Spacey's character in Se7en, would sadly kill Gordon's wife. Bruce provides Jim faith to keep going. Selina would be less focused on and would just be recognized as Bruce's lover for the following film as well.

Batman 5: Gotham Dawn

Here's my idea for the last film in the serie. Ideal director is once again David Fincher.

The opening scene villain is Deadshot, a proffesional gunsmen who Batman has dealt with in the past and sent to Black Gate. Within the first ten minutes, Batman stops Floyd Lawton's plans and saves Jim Gordon or Bullock with the help of Catwoman who only appears in two scenes. Once interogated, Lawton says he was working for some guy "Zucco." Once Gordon pulls up his record, he mentions a past boss... "Cobblepot."

This interogation brings Gordon's team (Bullock, Montoya is new in this episode, Stan what's his face with the blond hair, and Crispus who's returning after an apparent transfer to Metropolis since he's been gone since Gotham Knight) Oswald "Penguin" Cobblepot is seen as another mob boss in the Gotham Underworld who's around 55 and needs a cane to support his gigantic body. Penguin isn't the main villain though, Clock King is, a simulair version to TAS but younger. Zsasc would be featured from Begins. He's since been let free from Arkham in an "under the table" deal with the Penguin.

William Shepard (loose Tockman) is trying his best to fit in and side with the mob after his sister begins to die and they both find out they only have six months to live. Shepard does his best to get the money needed for proper care which he doesn't have. Setting off multiple types of explosives he learned how to make in his soldier days, he becomes a narcasist, like the Riddler. The final bomb is within Arkham and Black Gate which will destory every cell in both facilities. Batman must choose weither to try and help save lives and die or help Shepard which he could easily do with his type of money but if he wishes to do that, he'll be revealing his secret identity. This is where Catwoman comes back into play. She too has the abiltity to do both...

Hugo Strange is a side character in this epilouge who is in on letting Zsasc out for something he calls "the human experiment." He is trying to see if these criminals he's studied and worked with at Arkham philosophies such as Joker's "everybody's a monster" are true. Over time, Strange became obsessed with these ideas which lead him to this.

By the end of the film, it'd be revealed that this big event Bruce is fundraising and has talked about a few times is the Flying Graysons. He walks into the circus tent in the last scene, a poster of the Flying Graysons seen with costumes like the one worn by Robin so the audience.

Batman 3:

Months after the incident involving the Joker & the apparent loss of Harvey Dent, Batman is being chased by the GPD. Despite Wayne Manor still under construction, Batman has set up a temporary Bat-Cave & only uses it at night. Bruce Wayne is still dealing with the loss of Rachel & having to be a public figure. Bruce is between staying the masked vigilante & giving up the cowl. However, Alfred gives words of advice & encouragement to keep Bruce's hopes up.

However, Commissioner Gordon is dealing with the media's continued pry into the events that happened only months before & if wasn't bad enough Rupert Thorn has stepped into the seat of the head mob boss & Thorn is working with obsessed Psychologist, Hugo Strange (small cameo role) who becomes corrupt later on as his work at Arkham progresses. Scarecrow (small role) breaks free from Arkham only weeks later, causing hope that Strange isn't exactly doing his job.

Black Mask (background villain until later) starts fighting against Thorn because he thinks Thorn payed his way to the head of the mob's seat. Gordon starts to believe that the Joker has paved the way for a new class of criminals to start rearing their heads in Gotham. Gordon gets into contact with Alfred & asks if he could have a word in private with Bruce. Gordon shares his opinions with Bruce & asks if there was some way he could have a word with Batman. Bruce struggles to want to reveal his identity but feels it'd be too soon. So, the next evening Batman meets Gordon atop the GPD roof.

The same night Strange unleashes Zsasc (small role) into Gotham, unleashing his "human experiment" plan. Thorn pulls Strange's funding because he doesn't want to be tied with a lunatic. Black Mask hires a gunman (Deadshot but is implied) to kill Thorn. Batman tracks Zsasc when he finds out what happens. Scarecrow corners Zsasc & tries to use his fear toxins on him but Batman is able to take down Scarecrow only to have Zsasc get away.

Near the end of the film, Thorn's body is found but the police can't determine who shot him & Zsasc is missing.

- -

Batman 4:

The opening of the film is two of Gotham's officers finding Zsasc's body down by the docks a month following his MIA report in the police database. Whoever killed him, left no trace of a fight or a mess. Later that evening, Black Mask's meeting is interrupted by a new crime boss, Oswald Cobblepot, known as the "Penguin" for wearing black & white clothing & having a rather overly round body. Oswald opens up a night club called the "Iceberg Lounge" so the mobs can do business even in the late evening hours.

Lucius Fox returns to Wayne Industries, much to Bruce's surprise. Lucius's response to him is, "I heard the Gotham Police Department has been getting untraced calls". In fact, the month before, an unknown caller had been leaving threats on Gordon's answering machine. And now, not only had the unknown caller left threats but has also been hacking into Gotham's computers at the police department & at Arkham & Black Gate Prison.

The name "Edward Nashton" is left with Gordon in the next phone call but when they look up the name, all sources to the name have either been wiped out or blocked from prying eyes. A man in his late thirties, wearing a suite and bowler hat comes to the Iceberg Lounge to do business with Oswald, though he leaves no name or information for Oswald when asked. Oswald's love interest, Erin Knightly (small role) remarks, "He's like a mystery wrapped up in a riddle wrapped in a enigma".

In the days that follow, small time mob men are found dead, just like Zsasc, no finger prints or any other kind of evidence can be traced. Batman & Lucius work endlessly to trace the calls & Batman begins to trace the police department's files on the name "Edward Nashton", finding a file that was from back in the day that was much like the files on the Zodiac killing sprees although no other information is given. Batman begins searching the city for the mysterious zodiac-copy cat.

Near the end of the film, Black Mask's phone rings & as he about to answer, the building he is in, explodes. At the same time, Lucius Fox, half asleep at his computer, wakes up, pin points the call & then calls Bruce saying,

"I traced the call".

The end of the film shows Batman sitting on the bat-pod from a bridge, phoning into Gordon what he had found out & then he watches the police cars race into the distance almost ten minutes later.

- -

Batman 5:

Commissioner Gordon & his men find a dead end as they search for prints & clues of the abandoned apartment building the call was traced from (thanks to a call from Batman, who is supposed to be running from the police mind you.) Oswald Cobblepot meanwhile decides that all this "zodiac" business is no good for his own business & decides to be of some help to the police by allowing Bruce Wayne to throw a charity fundraiser in the Lounge.

Hugo Strange (small cameo role) is arrested during the event as he was the one who allowed Zsasc to escape in the first place & the police are sure Strange is the one who is behind this whole thing. Ten minutes after Strange's arrest, the mysterious bowler hat wearing man (who Oswald hired) comes into the Lounge, having figured out that Oswald was now helping the police. He holds Erin at gun point (even though the gun is full of blanks) & asks a random riddle for someone to answer. Panic rises but when Oswald realizes the man is bluffing, he holds a gun to him & tells him if he doesn't lower his gun, he'll shoot him. Bruce mysteriously disappears & Batman shows up, taking down the mad man. The man is arrested by Gordon's men after Batman ties him to a telephone pole just outside the Lounge.

While being held in police custody, the man tells Gordon that he has been tracing all events that have been happening in Gotham for years. Including the fact he knows about Harvey Dent [EDITED FOR HEAVY SPOILERS]. As he is being transferred to Arkham, he gains the nick name, "The Riddler" because he talks mysteriously & in riddles, not giving any information that makes sense & is obsessed with information, using his intellect with computers.

Three things at the end of the film happen,

Sal Maroni (cameo) sits down & regains his seat at the head of the crime syndicate now that Black Mask & Thorn are out of the picture.

Bruce Wayne sits in his office at Wayne Industries holding his mask and then looks out the window out at the city as the Bat signal is turned back on (Bruce's reflection reflects off the glass).

Hours later, as the sun comes up, Erin and Oswald are standing in Oswald's office. the last line of the film is Erin saying,

"Look, the sun is coming up".

I started to write this and post it a few days ago, but I got side tracked.

I’m not going to stick to what has been confirmed, because things change and this is my take on it any way.

B3: Batman: Redemption

Opens with Batman on the run from GCPD. He loses them on the Bat-pod and returns to the Batcave under Wayne Manor still under construction, but close to being completed. Batman covers the Bat-Pod with a tarp and then buries it under a dirt pile.

Commissioner Gordon and Det. Michael Wuertz greet the new members to Gordon’s team, Det. Harvey Bullock and Det. Rene Montoya. Both are assigned to track and take down Batman. Gordon and Wuertz go to Arkham Asylum. The Joker is behind bars, but stays quietly mumbling to himself. The next cell over we see Two-Face brooding. A flash back scene to TDK show Two-Face waking up after the fall, he was not dead.

Helena Bertinelli watches as a hit man from Yuri Dimitrov’s Crime Family murder her whole family. She escapes the murder scene unseen. She vows revenge upon the Gotham underworld. In the background a TV reporter reports that the vigilante known as the Batman has not been seen in weeks.

Bruce Wayne remains in his Penthouse. The loss of Rachel has him depressed and he has decided to hang up the cape and cowl forever as it is too much of a price to pay. Bullock and Montoya pay Wayne a visit. They have recovered parts of the destroyed Batmobile and traced them back to Wayne Enterprises.

Lucius Fox has created a false paper trail for the Tumbler. It is shown as being sold for surplus by Earle prior to Bruce’s return. The buyer cannot be traced and GCPD have another dead end, except they now suspect Wayne and Wayne Enterprises. Gordon is with Bullock in Wayne’s office when he gets a call that a caped vigilante was seen near Crime Alley speeding away on a motorcycle last night.

Bruce knows he being watched by GCPD, but he wants to know who the new caped vigilante is running around Gotham killing members of Gotham’s different crime families. Bruce and Gordon go out to dinner together. Gordon notices Johnny Sabatino, head of a crime family sitting nearby, Bruce then spots The Huntress appear in a hallway, she aims a cross bow and hits Sabatino, she runs through the kitchen and out the back. In the confusion both Gordon’s and Sabatino’s body guards try to take chase as a mortocyle is heard racing away.

A string of high profile burglaries take place in Gotham. Alfred turns off the news of these robberies to investigate a noise he heard. He enters Bruce’s bedroom in time to see a striking female figure leap out. Alfred and Bruce have a talk about the situation and what should be done. Bruce decides to become Batman again.

On patrol Batman stakes out the Gotham mobs. He finds The Huntress just before she is about to take out another crime family member. She tells Batman about what the mob did to her family and how they must pay, she says she’s taking on Gotham the way Batman had. Batman explains about his parents killings and how he does not kill. He wants to take her in, but allows her to hoping she has learned a lesson. She leaves and is not seen again in the film.

Batman goes back on patrol as he follows the police radio reports on Catwoman. He catches up to her two or three times, but she always seems to slip away. Catwoman becomes a distraction as Batman contiues to elude GCPD while trying to clear his name.

Two-Face excapes Arkham and sets up shop in the Narrows. His first order of business is to let Gotham know he’s back and what happened. “Dent is dead, I’m Two-Face” he growls “and I’m picking up where Harvey left off” he states to the crime familes of Gotham. Word gets out in the News about Two-Face and slowly it comes to light what The Joker did and how Two-Face came to be. He clears Batman’s name but that does not stop GCPD. Batman and Two-Face are destined for a showdown as Batman pursues Two-Face.

Two-Face is caught killing a crime family member. Gordon, Bullock and Montoya are caught in the cross fire. Two-Face gets the upper hand and has them staring down the barrel of his gun. A Batarangs fly in and knock the gun out of his hand and hit Two-Face in the neck. He falls and is captured by Gordon’s men. They turn to see Batman in the shadows.

Bullock steps up to take down Batman, but Gordon stops him. “He saved our lives” Gordon notes “and our city, we owe him that” he continues. “He’s still a winged freak stalking the night” counters Bullock. “He’s on our side Harvey, let’s just leave it at that” counters Gordon. Batman slips into the shadows.

Huntress? I don't know... Might as well use Catwoman IMO.

I can understand taking influence from other movies but if you're going to put a comic character in a movie then you should use the actual character. Why use a hodgepodge of movie characters when Riddler has such a rich, untapped history?

Anyway... I'll need a little bit to think over plot twists and stuff. But if I were in control of TDKR it would feature Bruce fighting (and eventually teaming up with) a new vigilante named Catwoman. Hugo Strange would be the main villain, trying to reveal Dent's fate to the public. Penguin and Black Mask wold both appear as supporting villains trying to take over what remains of the mob. It would also feature Edward Nashton in a supporting role as GCPD (and eventually Batman's) top crime informant.

Don't know much about B4. But I'd deff have Fincher direct (he's been my choice to replace Nolan since Begins) and it would introduce Oracle as a new ally to Batman.

B5 would be about the inevitable introduction of Robin (who would be much more like Terry McGinnis than like Dick Grayson.)

It seems too unrealistic. Kind of like Green Goblin and since the Nolan films do their best to make the movie watchers happy as well as comic book fans, I thought a more down to earth Riddler would work best.

If you think Riddler is unrealistic, then don't use him. lol

People were angry enough that Ledger's Joker wasn't perma-white, imagine how upset people would be if he was nothing like the Joker? Riddler should be RIDDLER. Not John Doe. Not Zodiac. Riddler.

Joker wasn't the same Joker we all knew and some say he made the movie. Riddler is usually a rip off of the comic book Joker but with a plan so we'd need to change that.

Read Batman #1. Read Killing Joke. Read Arkham Asylum. Maybe Joker wasn't the same mainsteam Joker... But he was almost 100% based on comic book versions of the Joker.

If you don't like Batman, you don't go and say "Let's make him more like Wolverine!" If you don't like the character, don't use them. Also, you need to read some more Riddler stories. He's pretty much nothing like the Joker lol

I do agree that Riddler as he's generally represented doesn't fit Nolan's Batman. But that doesn't mean you have to go to other characters for inspiration. Look at the more obscure versions of the character.

All directors and writers put their own take on the characters. I never thought of those Jokers as Heath's version. All the comic Jokers have reminded me of either Burton's or Mark Hamil's take. I meant Riddler as in the media who us fanatics know as well as the common movie watcher.
