I just read on the Superhero Hype.com web
site that the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 7 web
site is posted that a casting company is looking to
cast current law enforcement officers
such as police officers, county sheriffs, and correctional
officers, for a real big scene involving a police march in
in Gotham City for the new Batman movie...
My brother, an old friend, my wife and I will be calling
right after I finish this...
This news was a wish I could have never imagined...
This will be taking place on August 24, 25 and the 26 here
in downtown Chicago...
I hope this involves wearing a Gotham City Police Department
uniform and not our Department ones...
Even if it is our department uniforms, I will have to press the hell
out of it...
Till then I'll let you all know if we get into the film by this week

Just had the wife get her phone call for the role
of a Gotham City Police Officer...
Three minutes later I got mine...
This Sunday both of us have to go Downtown Chicago
for a uniform fitting, then its off to the Wizard World
Convention...
Filming for us is on Aug. 24, 25 and the 26 at 5:00 a.m. to
7:00 p.m... With standard pay and overtime, plus all you
can eat...
I will let everyone know how this Sunday goes, plus all the
goods I pick-up at the con...

That's incredible, Inzo! Congrats! I remember a fella on here (I believe his name was Pepecito) that said he made it into the Batman Begins civilian extras but never got back to us on what actually happened. This role is certainly fitting for you though and probably well deserved.

This morning I spoke with the casting dept...
They have alot of rules to follow and a real shading when
giving out the address for the fitting...
I was able to put it all together and got the address...
I was able to use the Bat-computer for this info...
Now the sad part...
Rules...
1. no cell phones...
2. no cameras...
3. letter of discloser of everything we will
see that day...
4. everything...
But I could just give my experience reports of the
time...
How cool it was or the shock it gave me...
Nothing else...

Its around 7:50 a.m. and the wife is
upstairs getting ready for todays fittings...
I will be driving about 150 miles today in
our Mini, including the Con...

This morning my wife and I arrived at
around 9:10 .a.m., a half hour early and
the casting staff was cool about it...
Upon reading the discloser letter, I have
come to the conclusion that this well be
hard to share with our loyal Bat-Brothers...
I just want to say that there is real
Hollywood magic, when you see
something on the big screen...
My wife and I meet a couple of real
cool cops from other departments and
felt good when trying on the clothes...
Again, I wish I could discribe the items,
but I can't...
I also had my hair cut again...
Its already short but it needed to be
real short...(They cut my hair!!!)
By the way the Wizard World Con was
cool...

Man I can't wait...
Today was a rehearsal, but I could not
make it... (not mandatory...)
Boy I wish I could get to keep a part
of the uniform, but I was told no...
I will be taking two of my Department
Police patches, so I could give one to
Mr. Nolen and hopefully Batman/Bruce...
Cross your Bat-fingers for cool weather and
no rain for the next three days...
My wife and me will be up at 3:00 a.m. for
our drive to the Gotham City Police Department
role call...
Wish us luck...
