Harvey Dent is seen in two shots (the shot where Bruce is in the party before the first Rachel shot, and when Gordon destroys the bat-signal), you have to look closer.

He said he wished Two-Face was in it, those were shots of Harvey Dent. Not to mention that appearing in the background of two shots doesn't mean he's being featured prominantly... Notice every other character got a dramatic shot and at least on line (exept Rachel, but she gets to kick Joker in the nuts), while you have to pause it an squint to see Harvey.

I'm betting we'll see more of Harvey in the next few trailers... But if they show Two-face before the movie I'm personally going to turn into the Joker and harass the Nolan brothers for the rest of there lives.

When people heard Nolan say he chose Ledger because he was fearless, I don't think a lot of us really knew what he meant.
After watching this trailer, I really do have to give Nolan the props he deserves for choosing the best actors suited for his films.
However I think I'll stop watching trailers and reading stuff about The Dark Knight until it comes out. |

I wouldn't worry about spoilers. They've finished filming, so I doubt there is going to be any leaks of information from here on out, and Nolan is the kind of guy who knows to keep things close to the vest... He won't go spoiling the movie like Raimi did in the Spider-man trilogy.

I remember the discussions here! Razhwurz more or less single handedly took on all-comers on this subject (and basically said he believed Nolan would get it right).
The trailer is simply stunning. Joker looks pure evil. It was a little difficult to take at first when we just had the pictures; if he doesnt immediately have same design & outfit as a Romero/Nicholson/90% of the comics it takes some getting your head round it....... when you do it works brilliantly.
This is gonna be good. Trailers are there to do a job, they're there to MAKE you want to see a film - and this MAKES you want to see the film.

Me too.
On the whole I've steered clear of the DK thread partly because (wherever it's possible) I wouldnt mind avoiding the spoilers, and partly because the speculation about every aspect of it just isn't for me (at least not when it's more than 6 months away). It clearly gets people talking about Batman though so I'm all in favour of that side of it.
For example; people at work have started talking about it. Asking me if I'm going to go and see it, what's it about etc (daft questions really, but people who don't ordinarily do Batman are chatting about it).
Having said all of the above - I guarantee you won't shut me up after I've seen it and I'll BE ALL OVER THE BYTB DK boards!!

This is gonna be a big one!

The Biggest!
Dont you think Having Some type of hint that two face is going to apper makes it more exciting? not that Joker is not enough but for the fact the story is going to be deeper then one villian |

i want it to surprise me in the theater. i "know" two-face is in it, but i don't know what he looks like or how he came to be two-face. i think putting in two-face would just spoil the movie.

this trailer was great but im personaly glad 2-face was not shown because the joker is such a powerful person if they put any other villian in the trailer then they would be greatly overshadowed by the jokers part in the trailer and thats why i think he wasnt shown. oh and when did gordon get the bat-signal? also why is he smashing it? i hope they dont add a robin in the third like they did in the last series

Exactly.

He got it at the end of Begins, the last scene where they're talking about the aftermath of Al Ghul's attack and the oncoming threat of escalation.
As to why he smashes the signal, we'll have to see the movie to know that.
And no, they won't ad Robin in the third... We're still in year one canonically.

it might be year 2 in the dark knight. maybe it was the lighting, but it looked like gordon had white-ish hair.

Well, Begins was month one... And in that time Wayne Manor burned down, Falcone fell from power, and Joker began robbing banks...
In TDK, Wayne Manor still hasn't been rebuilt, Falcone's power vaccum is still there, and Joker is fresh in people's minds. I'd say it's probably within a 9 months since Begins.

OK, when I first saw pictures of The Joker in TDK I was not amused. It looked very cheap and very odd compared to other versions of The Joker. After seeing this small bit of action all I can say is wow. He now really looks like the psychotic maniac that we all know he is.
I think Two Face will have a minor role in this film compared to The Joker and that’s why he’s not in the trailer. In Batman Begins Ra’s Al Ghul is in the whole film, but Scarecrow was the main villain (at least I thought so). Ra’s does not come off as a real villain until near the end of the film.
I’ve steered clear of most of the news about this film, unlike the first I have tried not to know everything there is, because I want more of a surprise when I see it for the first time. So far it looks great.

I do agree with what you guys are saying by keeping two face on the low and out of the trailers now. But I really want to have a sneak peek at his presence in the film...... |
