I haven't seen much of Deschanel's work, I've seen a bit of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and once I fliped by Elf and went "Whoa, she's cute." but didn't watch because I find Will Ferrel about as funny as a dead dog.
My biggest worry is whether or not they can get someone who can do a subtle New York accent; cause exadurated cartoon Harley doesn't work in the real world.

Ive seen some good casting ideas here, Zooey Deshanel's a good actress (particularly great in Hitchhicker's Guide & Failure to Launch) but I can't really see her as Harley. I'm think more like Brittany Murphy or someone like that.... & here are my other ideas...

you guys need to watcxh some of kates action movies,she clearly cannot do action movies and isla would make a better harley
i think you guys are just picking kate on looks and not acting
if you want to get someone who is well known and can act,this is the way to go
btw zooey would be a perfect harley!where are you going?brittany would only work as harley quinn but someone like zooey or kristen bell can work for both dr.quinzel and harley quinn

they got rid of her for a reason,she cant act,plus why would she come back as someone else?no oofence but thats by far the worst casting i have ever seen

Durh, I've seen Begins. Holmes wasn't booted out, she refused the part in TDK cause the idiot would rather be in a Queen Latifah movie that's bound to suck.
& the thread name is "ideal casting thread" that doesn't meen it has to fit in film continuity. & I didn't think she sucked in Begins. She just didn't stand up as well to the other actors

but honestly,even if it doesnt fit into movie contiutiny why would you have holmes or bring her back rather in a batman aequel if she was already in BB?if it was a new franchise than thats different but i dont get it,why would you bring her back as another character?thats worst than a re cast!people will be like,hey she was in the first movie

but this thread is for BB sequels  as you see everyone has the original cast on their lists,maybe make a thread about movies beyong BB sequels,but why the heck would you have katie in a superhero movie again?she was the dullest part in BB,plus shes married to tom cruise :shivvers: also,you just called her an idiot yet you are still casting her in a batman movie?plus,it would be common sense that this is for BB sequels,if they redid the franchise again,it probably wouldnt be for another 10 yrs and all those people would be too old for the roles ou put them in
well im just glad nolan came to his senses and cast someone who can act and who can actually make a convincing DA.when katie said,'im a GCDA!',it was so hard to take her seriously lol

i did some thinking and even though i still want eliza for the role i think charlize is the best candidate for the role plus i already want eliza for too many roles lol

A thing about Charlize; she's not shy about dying her hair. Almost every movie she's in she has her hair dyed blonde (she's a brunette) and when Aeon Flux called for it she dyed her hair black.

People like to see the characters with their comic hair colours because they want to see as acurate a portrayal as possible. Now, it's already been established the Nolan's not picky about hair colour, as both Bale and Oldman had brown hair, even though the comics call for black and red, respectivly.
As far as disliking for blondes... A huge chunk of the female population dies their hair blonde, and some people get so tired of blonde hair they'd loath having a black haired character switch to that.
My point about Theron is that the choice would be Nolan's, cause she'd be willing to do whatever.
