*WARNING! OVER-ZEALOUS NOOB ALERT!*

Re. Firefly; the jetpack guy in the first part of Gotham Knight was I think based on him.

Re. R'as...

The whole immortal thing was one of many aspects of the character I thought they improved upon (for the movie format) in BB. He's not immortal, he uses theatricality and deception to create a legend about himself, multiple identities etc. I really feel there can be nothing at all supernatural in these films. But bear one thing in mind: "R'as al Ghul" translates as "Head of the Demon" right? So it's actually like a title. What's to say the League isn't intact with a new or higher-ranking or whatever "Ra's" who is a different sort of threat?

Re. Two-Face: after hoping he was on the cards for the next one, I've now come round to thinking it's better for this series if he stays dead - partly because his psychological transformation was the least satisfying aspect of TDK for me, partly because it seems more of a victory for The Joker, and partly because I think they probably want to keep a cap on the amount of crazy-looking insane psychopaths with jazzy names running around. A couple, sure, but too many and it can't help but become too fantasy-esque, at least for me.

Re. Catwoman: who even has the movie rights for her since that embarrassing Halle Berry affair? I'd be interested to see how you could give her an origin that explains how right off the bat she can keep up with Batman.

Re. Robin: I know I'm not the first to say this but, Dark Victory or no, no way can I imagine this Batman using a field operative for anything unless they too had spent ten years up a mountain etc, let alone a teenager. The only ways I can imagine him even slightly working are so removed from the comic book character and origin as to render it totally pointless to include him.

That said, I do appreciate the need to have iconic elements and characters from the comics, this ain't The Wire. Like Denny keeps pointing out, this is heightened reality Folks!

I have this vague idea of how they could incorporate some kind of Gotham-wide 'cataclysmic' technology/communications blackout, maybe caused by the LoA/LoS. It could involve some elements of Knightfall as well. That way we could see Batman winning the confidence of the city in a "No Man's Land"-ish scenario, but without it sucking like "Cataclysm" etc. in the comics. There's no reason it couldn't incorporate an iconic villain or two, and Gordon and the GCPD would still get a big role, not having to be relegated to Batman's support act. Plus Batman could have a little less recourse to gadgetry which would show an added dimension.

I think it would be interesting to do Catwoman because they could handle it one of two ways:
A) She could be a catburglar as she was in the original run of the comics from the 40's
B) She could be protecting Gotham in Batman's absence but her methods are too violent so Batman comes back and along with the GCPD stops her.
