He can; but more often than not he gets written as the mentor when they add sidekicks, when he should still be the hero.
The best ways to change the past mistakes is to show Bruce's flaws, keep him from become a secondary character and to never shift the focus from him; keep Robin and Batgirl in the spotlight, but make sure they share it.
Yeah you're right. He still has to be the same Batman he was before. I don't really like the father figure thing they usually write batman as. I think Batman TAS is one of the few things I can think of where they added Robin and Batgirl, and still made Batman be BATMAN.

It would bring intresting confliction to Batman if he notices that he is very close to becoming what he hates the most, but through training Dick and Babs he realizes that he is spreading a new kind of vigilantism that buries the cruel ideals of the League of Shadows.
That would be a really good way to write it. That brings even more conflict into whether or not Batman should train Dick and Babs. He doesn't want anyone else to become what he is.
I really like your ideas!! You should be a writer!!

Ditto.

Thanks, I can think of pretty good scenarios and plot development, but I just have trouble writing it in a way that's engaging. Of course scripts don't have to be engaging, so I can perhaps become a Comic Book writer (which would take me a step closer to my dream of becoming a Comic Book artist).

No I havn't. Unfortunatly, I can't draw very well right now; most of my life I've had trouble with my self-esteem and only resently have I developed the determination needed to become a good artist. I've got a long rode ahead, but I was born into an extremly talented family, and I'll get a good amount of help along the way.
So in a few months, when I believe I can draw without humilating myself, I'd like to post here to see what you and everybody else think.

I knew you were an artist. Whenever someone posts a picture they drew, I can see you have a very artistic eye from your comments. Stay determined!! I can't wait to see your work.

personally i would love to see barbara as batgirl. she'll always be batgirl for me...
but who to play her.... hmmm now there's the conumdrum...
lets run through al the people who've played batgirl so far in live action...
Yvonne Craig... nice, little old now but was very nice in her day

Alicia Silverstone... nothing against the girl but as batgirl? nah!

Dina Myers... was ok as oracle in birds of prey but something about her isn't right for batgirl.

dunno personally i'm hoping for someone new and origional... someone who can still portray the innocence and childlike qualities of batgirl before she 'grows up'
hmm any ideas and i'll be sure to post here. anyone got any ideas on who they'd like to see as batgirl?
just a quick few manips / costumes i found of batgirl. thoughts anyone?

heh, my desktop wallpaper

don't really know what to think of this one... not really a fan of cassie as batgirl through her story with david cain during nomans land was one of the best... hmm food for thought me thinks

The Batgirl from Gotham Public Works used to be a friend of mine, she operated a Oracle/Night site called the Trapeze.
She looks real good as babs

if its batgirl, then cassandra would fit in perfectly, in fact i would really like to see her in one of the movies. shes not your typical sidekick
It was Barbara. I thought it was James Jr too but I checked the credits and it said Barbara Gordan was in the movie.

The kid in the movie had short hair and was in a high chair, so it's probably male and a bit to young to be Barbara; so its Jr.
