The Dark Knight breaking records showed Stan Lee, he stole alot of what DC is famous for. Breaking records, you would think they have to make a 3rd and 4th.

I'd actually like to see Firefly in a future movie. When Lucius Fox opened the case for Bruce before he went to Hong Kong, there was the helmet with the breathing tube on it, but Batman never uses it. If I remember correctly, it's similar to the one the Firefly action figure wears, so it could be done.
Firefly is one of the more realistic ones, as well. All he needs is a jet pack basically. This way, there's nowhere for Batman to hide. Whether on the ground, or in the air, Firefly can fight him. And who wouldn't want to see Batman and Firefly fight as Gotham is burning in the background? Imagine the cinematography on that!

Dr. Crane isn't here right now, but if you'd like to make an appointment.... |

See, that is a problem. Why? Because while Heath is the best, and while it is tragic, The Joker character is still bigger than him. It's like Mark Hamill Vs. Kevin Micheal-Richarson.
Hamill was the best animated version. But, Kevin did a good job as well.
I'd like to see them recast him, why? I think it's good to at least have a cameo, maybe Batman has to catch the Joker again during the first 20 minutes or so?

Completely different story with those guys, they're doing two different versions of the same character... You can't do that in a sequal, it's got to be the same interpretation; and this interpretation IS Heath's... The Nolans did a lot of work too, but the face make-up? Heath experimented with applying make-up to himself and handed his findings to Nolan to design the character. The voice? Heath came up with that on his own. The posture? Heath's. The stuttering? Heath's. The stories behind the scars? Heath's.
Plus, Nolan attests to the fact that everyday he went in and Heath gave him something he totally didn't expect that was so perfect for the role.
There's no way any actor could go on and perform this with any iota of Heath's tallent in this interpretation of the character. You might as well just put Abe Vigoda up there as Joker cause it will look stupid anyway.

This is the age of the trilogy, so yes there will be a third movie. I think they should bring in Catwoman and maybe even Dr. Hugo Strange. He's a weird character who does an analysis on Batman for the Gotham Police Dept. He also has a creepy obsession with Batman...basically wanting to become him.
Check out the "Prey" story arc from the Legends of the Dark Knight series. It introduces Catwoman as well. It's a great story complete with Dr. Strange kidnapping the Mayor's daughter. I think they could implement this well and back off of the Joker for now. It's gonna be hard to do without Heath Ledger... |

I hope Johnny Deep doesnt play him. I serously hope Joker wont be in the 3rd movie. There is really noody that could replace Heath's Joker. I wish he didnt die he was great in TDK.

I dont think Catwoman or Riddler would be in the next movie. I heard some other guy with blond hair was chosen to be a villain in the third, it said he would play Clayface but its just some old rummor.

A thought just ocurred to me, what is Nolan takes all of the best qualities of every villain in the comics and molds them up into one great villain created by him that would challenge Batman in every way physically and phycologically possible?
Or what about introducing Wrath as a villain in the next film, since he could be a great villain if portrayed and designed well. What I am suggesting is the sort of anti-Batman figure that gives hope to the criminals and threatens the law and law enforcers just like Batman gives hope to the citizens of Gotham although in the third film they won't trust him at first. But what will be the twist is that since Wrath takes would kill policemen and bears a sort of similar costume to Batman it would be justifiable that people would think Batman killed the policemen.

Well, the rumours may have started when a fanboy who wants Depp to play Riddler mentioned it on the forum, someone else read that guys post and told a friend it was a good idea, and that friend told another friend, and etc. until somewhere along the line it mutated into a rumour about WB watning him to play Riddler.
Of course the other possibility, and don't think just because it's rumour this would be impossible, is that Nolan talked with WB about a sequel and mentioned he wants the Riddler to be the villian. Of course the WB producers love Johnny Depp, so when Nolan told them he wants the Riddler, they told him they want Johnny Depp to play him. Then some dude who was in that meeting may have had a leaky mouth and mentioned it to someone on the internet.

Personally I'd rather not see Depp as The Riddler. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure he could pull off the role, but the level of popularity he's reached since playing Captain Jack Sparrow - and the fact he's more or less linked to that character no matter what he does now - makes me think he'd be the wrong choice.
To be honest, post POTC: Curse Of The Black Pearl he's come across as being on auto-pilot to me in some roles. |

Well there are rumours about him playing Joker, but those are very underground and mostly fanboy ravings. The big TDK2 Depp rumour, that's even gotten attention from some big news sites, is that the WB producers want him to play the Riddler.
Honestly, I believe the rumours. I don't think Johnny would be cast by Nolan, who would prefer someone much less high profile. But, the studio will want an actor who can fill in the public image Heath had, they'll want someone who is immensely talented, and someone who can play a quirky role and make it his own to fill in for the Joker's charisma. So I honestly think if they've had a discussion with Nolan that involves the Riddler, Depp's name would be flying out of the producers mouths every ten seconds.
Basically, even though they're not recasting Joker, they're still going to try to get an actor who can fill in Heaths sizable shoes as a bad guy.

We almost lost Morgan Freeman aka Mr. Fox today in a serious car accident: ------>
JACKSON, Miss. - Oscar-winning actor Morgan Freeman was hospitalized in serious condition Monday after the car he was driving left a rural road in the Mississippi Delta and flipped several times.
Freeman, 71, was airlifted to the Regional Medical Center in Memphis, Tenn., about 90 miles north of the accident in rural Tallahatchie County. Hospital spokeswoman Kathy Stringer said Freeman was in serious condition but declined to discuss his injuries.
Clay McFerrin, editor of Sun Sentinel in Charleston, said he arrived at the accident scene on Mississippi Highway 32 soon after it happened about 5 miles west of Charleston, not far from where Freeman owns a home with his wife. The accident occurred shortly before midnight Sunday.
"They had to use the jaws of life to extract him from the vehicle," McFerrin said. "He was lucid, conscious. He was talking, joking with some of the rescue workers at one point."
McFerrin said it appeared that Freeman's car was airborne when it left the highway and landed in a ditch.
Bill Luckett, Freeman's business partner in a blues club, told The Commercial Appeal in Memphis, Tenn., that the actor suffered a broken arm and had other injuries.
Freeman, who won an Oscar for his role in "Million Dollar Baby," is among the stars in "The Dark Knight," now in theaters. His screen credits also include "Driving Miss Daisy."
Bystanders converged on the accident scene trying to get a glimpse of the actor, McFerrin said.
When one person tried to snap a photo with a cell phone camera, Freeman joked, "no freebies, no freebies," McFerrin said.
Mississippi Highway Patrol spokesman Sgt. Ben Williams said Freeman was driving a 1997 Nissan Maxima that belonged to Demaris Meyer of Memphis when the car ran off the road and overturned several times.
"There's no indication that either alcohol or drugs were involved," Williams said. He said both Freeman and Meyer were wearing seat belts. The woman's condition was not immediately available.
Freeman was born in Memphis, Tenn., but spent much of his childhood in the Mississippi Delta. He is a co-owner of the Ground Zero Blues Club in Clarksdale.
The hospital where Freeman is being treated is commonly known as The Med, and is an acute-care teaching facility that serves patients within 150 miles of Memphis. |
