It just struck me that significant changes have been made to the Batsuit in every film so far, so how do you think it will go? I'd like to see the Dark Knight colours (gray and black) but with an armoured look to suit the movie style. Like the Batman Begins action figure with the big claws, the name escapes me.

And as for the Batmobile, I dunno what to expect. IT could be more of a sleek kind of car, which would be cool, but it could go the other way and be more of a DKR style Bat Tank, which has the potential to be awesome.

Opinions? Ideas?

I'm with Phil...maybe some small changes, but I doubt we'll see anything major between the two movies.

the only thing i see changing is the house, the cave, and possibly a new actor for rachel dawes. or maybe she will randomly disappear.

They'll probably change the Batmobile, Though I can't think of anything that could top The Tumbler. As for the suit, they will definitly change it; make it more high tech by adding some gadgets, redesighning the utility belt, giving it those classic security features and hopefully changing it to grey instead of black.

I'm kind of sad to see The Survival Suit go, they really let you connect with the suit for the first time, before Begins they would show off gadgets as Bruce needed them. But with Begins I felt less cheated because I knew what the suit was capable of doing, sure the sonar was a suprise, but it it didn't feel like they were making stuff up as they went along, they didn't just go, "Gotham is being attacked by penguins under some sort of mind control, so let's give him a signal jammer." or "Batman is being attacked by sharks, so lets give him shark repelant."

It felt more like Bruce was using more of his wits than just magically having the perfect gadget, do you guys know what I mean?

I thing the begins suit was perfect except it needed longer ears/horns pointy shoulder thing longer/wider cape clawed gloves and a black or blue utility belt as for the Batmobile they should use the comics/Tim Burton's Batmobile.

I think the cowl was perfect, it was the most organic looking cowl Batman has ever worn, and it gave him a menecing look. As for clawed gloves, they're not that practical and not really Batman's style. I think the cape was excelent. And the Belt should only be black if the suit is grey, otherwise it would mesh in with the suit.

And I will die before I let someone insult The Tumbler, it was my favorite Batmobile bar-none, just listen to the sound of the engine, the speed, the power!!! big grin

Anyway... The only thing I would like is a grey suit, Nolan if you are reading this give Batman a grey suit, with matte black cape, cowl, gloves, boots, and utility belt; give the utility belt silver or gold highlights and do not give him the over-underware.

Geez, if you want to include comics Batmobiles, that still leaves about 95 to choose from big grin I liked the design of the '89, but I have to give the Tumbler the higher grade overall for being able to make a left turn without using a lamp post as an anchor.

Interesting...I've heard a lot of people say they liked the Tumbler, and a lot more say that they fianlly accepted it after they saw it in action. I think you're the first one I've heard to list it as their favorite.

I assume that the next film is set almost immediately after the first because Commissioner Gordon hands Batman the Joker card at the end of the movie... which means that Batman would not have much time to redesign the Batmobile, especially when you consider that he will have been using (presumably) most of his time to rebuild Wayne Manor and the Batcave.

An updated Batsuit is more probable, I think. I'd love to see a gray and black armor suit (as suggested above) but I doubt that Nolan will do it.

My gut feeling is that they are going to change everything, either replacing old stuff, like the Batmobile, or by modifing old stuff. They are going to want to make it look new and spactacular, it would just be weird for the viewers if a main stream movie kept a piece of equipment. I'm hoping they do what was done with the "X-Jet" in X-Men 2, just using a slight redesign.

The only pieces of equipment Batman kept in more than one movie was the Burton Batmobile, and even that was modified with a redesigned "cacoon". And the belt from the Forever Sonar suit was brought back for Batman & Robin, as were some pieces of the Forever "Panther" suit. Some other pieces of Batman suit in Returns was designed after the 89 suit, but were still differant.
