Do you guys think that Superman could work in the universe Nolan created?
I think he can make it work and I would want to see the dynamic between Batman and Superman. It would be very interesting to watch I think. |

I think that would defeat the purpose of why Nolan set his Batman universe in a realistic sense. It was what he became known for; creating a reality where we could almost feel a hero could exist.
The only thing stopping you from success is doubt. |

I think that Warners has taken notice of the way marvel is using their heroes and setting up an avengers movie. They may even try to emulate it in some way by having heroes making cameos in each others movies. I would be ok with such things like cameos, and it wouldn't hurt to have Bruce Wayne reading a Daily Planet instead of just local papers. And just a mention of Superman to establish that they inhabit the same universe. |

I think Nolan wanted to separate his interpretation from all the other heroes. I remember reading he was upset about the Justice League movie being made. He doesn't even want to include Robin in his movie and Robin is an important part of the Batman universe. I think Nolan's way is what most fans want. We probably could've seen Superman in Shumacher's universe but wouldn't work in Nolan and Bale's Batman world.

I've said this a lot, but Nolan's Batman is about plausibility... A superhuman from an alien planet is not plausible.

Then could Nolan make any other heroes plausible, not just Batman?

Anything is plausible if done right. Can Superman work in a Nolan world? Sure, but will it? No because that's how Nolan is.
The thing is, while Nolan is trying to make Batman "Real" he's still a COMIC BOOK Superhero. So if you remember that, anything can be possible.

How can Superman be done plausibly? An alien that coincidentally looks human and gains physically impossible super powers when absorbing fictitious radiation from the sun?
Simply put, Nolan goes on the fanciful side sometimes, like some of the over-the-topish gadgets from TDK... But in the end Nolan's exadurations are slight and subtle; aliens and amazon princesses are anything but subtle. We won't see anything in Nolan's films that can't fit in a spy movie.

I just watched Superman Returns recently and noticed that in one of the newscasts mentions that Superman was in Gotham, I remember seeing it two years ago but then forgot about it.
Could this mean anything? |

It could be interesting to see a World's Finest story line, especially if they went with some of the current material being produced by Jeph Loeb. But as it has already been stated, this is one of the most realistic approaches to a super hero series ever. Having the last son of Krypton come in would kind of throw off that balance quite a bit. I think if they brought in Clark Kent and Lois Lane to interview Bruce Wayne for something would be kind of funny. But I don't know if it would work the way things are going right now. |

I like that idea, just have them in a cameo or something. Or mention of Superman, just maybe not by name like in Year One. |

Not exacly but he could do alot of good movies with him. Nolan should make World's Finest.
