@Buckey bat- Yeah... Will Smith is the only actor that I can think of that can pull off a multitude of roles (even after to returning for some sequels i.e.- Bad Boys 2 and Men in Black 2)... Im just trusting that whoever Nolan picks will be as good as all his previous casting choices.

Oh no doubt about that boywonder99, Nolan wouldn't do anything to screw up what he's got going as it pertains to Batman...Oh and another bit of interesting news, when I read the Depp wil be returning for the next Pirates movie I also read where Keira Knightly and Orlando Bloom WILL NOT be returning....Riddler and Catwoman anyone??? |

I liked Orlando Bloom in Lord of the Rings and that's it. OMG...NO!!! Orlando Bloom is a pretty boy actor and he annoyed me so much in the Pirate films because he was all "hot shot" this and that & OMG...I will tear out my eyeballs if Keria Knightly was in a batman film. She's annoying and whining and I wanted to hit her with a shovel throughout all the Pirate films as well.
Both of them....>.< SO ANNOYING!!!
I would let Jervis Tetch be in a Nolan film before I would let Orlando Bloom & Keira Knightly near Gotham City.
I'm sorry but that's just how I feel. I'm a true Batman fan and I would NOT let those two be in a Batman film. EVER!!!
I don't know whose worse Keira Knightly or Rachel Dawes. Jeeze...THE HEADACHE Of it all!!! Keira Knightly's acting reminds me of the headache Rachel Dawes gave me in TDK.

I guess casting quaifies as "Ideas", but the other thread is "casting for future movies" which I believe Batman 3 counts as...

As I put in the 'ideal casting' section of this part of BatmanYTB I think an interesting idea would be Bruce even though showing strength as Batman is privately feeling responsible for what happend to Harvey and Rachel so he decides to see a new psychiatrist in Gotham to deal with the problem and he goes to see Dr. Hugo Strange played by Bob Hoskins |

Strange- Well Bruce, what's troubling you?
Bruce - Well doctor, a few months ago my childhood friend died and I feel responsible.
Strange - Why do you feel responisble?
Bruce - Well, I'm Batman. And you see, I had to pick between her and Harvey, and I meant to pick her, but the Joker did the ol' switch-a-roo and I ended up saving Harvey instead. Harvey went crazy of course and ended up dying anyway. But I feel like I could have done more to save them.

Somehow I don't see it happening lol
I think Bruce's strongest resilience is his emotional resilience... The whole point of the end of TDK was that Batman had sacrificed everything but he kept on going, because it's what need to be done for the good of others. He will always put others before himself and I don't see him waisting time in a psychiatrists office while he could be out saving lives.

Actually, Strange conducted experiments on Arkham inmates, but he never ran the asylum.
Here's the thing. Thompkins is a medical doctor. So if for instance Batman gets shot or something and Alfred can't help him, they go to Leslie. Strange, on the other hand, is a psychiatrist. The two have completely different jobs.
Anyway, I don't think Hoskins is the best choice. I'd go with either Sir Ben Kingsley or Sir Patrick Stewart.

I would go with Sir Ben Kingsley because Stewart is too well known as Professor X and all the X-Men weenies would moan and groan that their precious Professor X is playing a Villain in a Batman movie (oh did I fail to mention that sarcasm is one of my hobbies) |
