I really don't like the Riddler idea. Nolan tends to try as hard as possible to keep the characters in line with the source material, why would the Riddler have a mental affliction (split-personality) that really has nothing to do with any other interpretation of the character? Or better yet, why would he have been an assassin before being a criminal? Last I checked, Riddler's one of the few Batman villains NOT to kill people on a regular bassis.

i recently saw a movie called se7en; i know it's pretty old, but c'mon i was 4 when it came out. but yeah it was really good.
i was thinking maybe there was a character who killed other bad people; having misguided religious reasons behind the killings. kinda like the harvey dent judge in TNBA. that kind of bad guy would be so interesting. ra's al ghul was sorta like that too though...maybe i'm just asking for a rated R batman; which probably will never happen, lol.
oh and just for fun, i think they should introduce dick grayson into this world somehow. if not the kid himself; i think they should at least put in some easter eggs for us. like bruce walking by a poster of the flying graysons; i might have said this before. lol.

Sounds like the Reaper.. The Reaper was in Gotham when Bruce was a kid. He had a daughter named Rachel. Years after Batman appeared, The Reaper came back and Batman had to face him.
My idea, The Reaper (Rachel Dawes Father) comes back to avenge her death. He starts killing Arkham Inmates and others including some Mobsters (The Bertenellis)
Anyway, I think it would become a great story...

Hmmm... I like all of your ideas... I really like the easter eggs ideas. Phil gave me an idea for Riddler to reply to Raz. I know my Riddler story isn't that good. There could be some well done improvement. But Phil gave me the idea of relgious killings.... hmm... I have seen Se7en clips in Batman 3 fan trailers.

oooh that reaper idea sounds awesome!
and nolan did say he didn't want to use a well known villain. the reaper sounds like the perfect choice; even i don't know him. lol. and that way, he could have a little bit more freedom with the character since not a lot of people know him.
on a side note, nolan is known for his non-linear way of telling his stories, but the dark knight was played straight forward. should he go back to his crazy non-chronological order again?
and i've been thinking...i think WB should release a re-edit of batman begins that plays chronologically, and a re-edit of the dark knight that plays in a non-linear format. it would be so cool!

Yeah I'm on board with this Reaper thing. I think it'd be best to go with an unknown villain, bring something really fresh to the screen. And Chris' idea sounds good, that way it'd be packing an emotional punch to the story. |

Please note, due to the length of my story, I'll show it in seperate parts. The Villains are Riddler and the False Face Society (a vast organization, made of henchmen with high-tech weapons and 4 super criminals, led by Black Mask):
A year has passed since The Dark Knight: Wayne Manor’s been restored; new cops have joined the MCU; and Gordon’s wife, still suffering from the trauma of what Harvey did, has left for Chicago with James Jr., leaving him with Barbara “Babs” Gordon. The Manhunt against Batman is still ongoing, dispite the fact that Gordon and several members of the MCU (like Crispus Allan, Rameriez's old partner) know the truth.
A new threat emerges: the remaining mob bosses are assassinated by the False Face Society, and Black Mask takes over as Gotham's crime lord.
Bruce Wayne has been dating socialite Selina Kyle, one of the wealthiest bachelorette in Gotham. Unfortunately, still dealing with Rachel’s death, he doesn’t seem to want to take the relationship to the next step.
Late that night, Batman brakes into Black Mask’s penthouse (to learn what he’s up against), only to find a woman dressed up as a Cat-Burglar (literally) stealing from the safe. A fight brakes out, interrupted as one of the False Face Society: arsonist: Firefly finds them and attacks them. Batman and Catwoman defeat him, but Batman’s forced to stop Catwoman from clawing Firefly. She escapes, and Black Mask (angry over what’s happened, puts a price on both Batman and Catwoman’s head.

i just read reaper's wikipedia page, hahaha. so apparently he's like the phantasm, only the reaper is the father, not the daughter.
anyways...me and my brother were saying how mask of the phantasm would make a near perfect batman live action movie. reaper is the answer!!! but apparently, he's not a part of batman canon anymore. but they should do it anyways!

This is what Garry Oldman said at the Comic Con just yesterday in San Diego...
"We start shooting next year. You didn't hear that from me."
This was said during a conversation with a Batman fan about Batman 3... I can't wait!!! This is so soon. It feels like yesterday that Nolan announced the Batman 3 script. I have a really good ideal Riddler choice I am going to post in the Batman: Live Action thread.

They're going to start shooting next year? OMG!!! It just feels like TDK was just released on into theaters and then out on DVD. This is awesome. WAY AWESOME!! And this year is going by pretty fast, before you know it, we'll be sitting in those movie theater seats watching BATMAN 3.

Nolan never officially stated that he was writing a script, and he hasn't officially signed on. Plus, actors don't always have the best information. Sometimes they themselves have misinformation, like Michael Caine stating that Johnny Depp would play the Riddler; and other times they aren't privy to up-to-date information, like Gary Oldman saying that there would be a TDK video game when it had infact been canceled.
Now I'm not saying the movie isn't being filmed next year. I'm just saying that until WB releases a press release this is far from confirmed as true. As far as we know Oldman may be, and likely is, refering to a preliminary schedule from WB; and any number of facotrs could cause a change to occur.

Several villians being used as ploy by someone behind the scenes later revealed to be South American Mercenary/Assassin Bane. And Ra's make forbodding cameo at the end. Also some Catwoman (Sienna Guillory[Jill Valentine, Resident Evil 2] or Elizabeth Hurley [Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery, Spy Who Shagged Me]) to keep things interesting....

I agree with Chris's idea (having the new villian being a family member of an already seen villian)...my idea would be Elizabeth Hurley playing Talia (Ra's Al Ghul's daughter) and Christina Ricci playing Harley Quinn but instead of her being a nurse that falls in love with the Joker in Arkham have her be his sister, both women come to Gotham for revenge against Batman.
{PLOT TWIST} Talia falls for Bruce not knowing he is Batman because she hates Batman and blames him for her father's death, finds out Bruce is Batman and stops fighting him however Harley does not and as Harley tries to attack Batman/Bruce, Talia saves his life losing hers in the process.
