Well, in my opinion (as a Theron fan) her talent would go to much better use as Catwoman; as great as X-men is, the characters seem almost 2-dimensional when placed next to the 3-D, deep, fully fleshed out characters of Batman.

To have a Theron used for a character like Emma Frost, it feels like a waist to me when put next to the option of having her work with an excelent character, a great script, one of the best writer/directors of our time, and some of the best actors of all time.

There is an almost infinite amount of actresses who could play Emma right, but there are only few who fit Catwoman perfectly, by no means is Charlize the only one, but she is definitly one of them.

Anyway, Theron has small breasts and Emma's signature is gigantic cleavage; to take that out wold be like removing Wolvies wacky hair.

i disagree, not everyone can play emma,i think she is one of the only people(next to pfeiffer)who could pull it off,i dont want to see some bimbo ruin a great character like emma and its called a push up bra, famkes boobs and annas arent big but the leather pused it up

What do you disagree with? All of it?! When I said "Almost infinite" I was exadurating quite a bit, but I think it still stands that more people qualify as perfect for Emma than for Catwoman, I mean how many agile women with dancers bodies, dedication to do extreme stunts and great acting skill are there? okay not a lot, now how many full breasted women are there who have great acting skills?

The thing is, Theron was built to play Catwoman, and since she wasn't built to play Emma Frost, it's strange that you insist that Emma would be a better use of her abilities.

And how come is it you think only two actresses in the world can play Emma Frost, but when it comes comes to Catwoman, who's a more complicated character, you've mentioned about a dozen actresses that could work?

BTW, a push-up bra wouldn't help Theron get anywhere near Frost's bustline, the only way she could do it is with implants; and I don't really want that.

Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns was brilliant. His follow up The Dark Knight Strikes Again was a let down.

Angelina Jolie is Catwoman. Without a doubt she would be the best choice for the role.

Umm... FlaBat, I have a doubt, so your statment is completely erronious. The thing is I don't like Jolie, I've never seen a movie where her acting skills stood out in any way.

I admit she physically fits the role, and if you want her there good for you... But I'm not really into the idea.

I would like to see Daniel Radcliffe play Robin in one of the future Batman movies. I think he would be a good sidekick next to Chirstine Bale's Batman. I still think Gary Oldman as Gordon was one of the best picks they could have made. He looks like they pulled him right out of Frank Miller's Batman:Year One comic. I'm just not sure about Heath Ledger as the Joker, I think Crispin Glover would have been a better choice, but we'll just have to see how it all turns out when The Dark Knight comes to theatersbig grin

Batboy99, don't worry about Kidman; if you want her for her acting tallent, then anyone could replace her; she not particularly tallented and most of what she does is whisper to make herself sound serious. I'll admit she's had a few movies where she's pretty good, but even then she could be trumped by Theron, or Ricci, or a million other talented actress.

And for looks, I submit this to you; she spent millions on cosmetic surgery to get her body the way it is; but Theron has a body on the same level, exept she got her's for diet and exercise. And for her face, she can't move her eyebrows or nose because of all her Botox.

Now I'll admit Halle Berry was a definite step down from Kidman, but whoever Nolan chooses will be a million times better than Kidman.

Unforunatly, that's the nature of the beast... Fans have their vision of how the characters should be and flock to the actor they want; usually to get they're hopes crushed when the director goes with their favorite.

I'm completely on the Theron Catwoman and Laurie Riddler bandwagon, but I know that the chances of Nolan picking them are about even with Theron coming to my house looking for a place to spend the summer... sad
