I'd probably be more concerned with what Bill Finger would have to say, but yeah, that's a cool thought. He'd most likely agree that it's the best Batfilm to date, like any other sane person.
Now what would Schumacher say...

I can't say of course, but I'd say that both Bill Finger and Bob Kane would have loved BB. Bob Kane was a big fan of all things Batman. He was a big fan of the 60's as well as B89.

"When you have a cast like that, and a director like Chris, you can never go wrong."
Michael Keaton said that....twice I believe in interviews before BB was released. I would believe that Bob Kane would love to have gotten the dark Batman back in BB after B&R because Bob and Joel, like Burton, were friends. I mean I would understand if Bob said that it was nice to see on B&R, while hiding his true feelings in a way to not destroy the friendship he had with Joel.
So he would love to get the dark Batman to return to the screens so he would love that film. Plus, on a side note, I believe the rest of the cast like Jack Nicholson, Kim Basinger, Danny Devito, Val Kilmer and Joel (they did go to the premiere) and Burton had faith with that film. And proved that.
You don't get it, boy... this isn't a mudhole... it's an operating table.
(crack!)
And I'm the surgeon.

I was fortunate enough to meet Bob Kane on one occasion and thank him for creating Batman and you're all right. I got the impression that he loved anything that evolved the character in both story and design.
He loved seeing Batman fight gangsters and thugs and he loved Robin as well. I think he would have loved seeing Batman take down Carmine Falcone and he'd want to see Dick Grayson introduced into the series in one of the sequels. |

YES! robin is too cool to leave out, lol. but if there were to be any kind of live action robin, then maybe it should be a series like smallville. tim drake and his life in highschool while being robin?
well...in any case, i wud love to see a robin something. no matter if its dick, jason, or tim. i like all of them, but tim the most.

I too am a Robin fan. How can you be a Batfan and not love Robin. He echoes Bruce's story but approaches it differently. I hope he does come into the series in non-campy format. But it's gotta start with Dick Grayson. |

Robin's a great character and a crucial part of the Batman story. I think they will bring in Robin but it will be a much younger Robin (15-16 years old). No Chris O'Donnell whining. Be glad Schumacher is nothing more than a vague memory. |

Good idea, maybe after smallville finishes.
An older interview that was posted on BOF from about.com asked Chris Nolan about Robin:
Can Robin be used without dumbing down the thing?
"Possibly, but I can?t really talk about specifics."
I don't think Nolan will be the one to bring Robin in, but I have a feeling it will happen.

robin would seriously take out the edge in the new batman series. i dont see batman doing any of those mysterious fighting scenes with robin around also robin's CHARACTER is a funny one. he makes jokes and isnt as obsessed as batman i think he WOULD mess up the movie.

Who says Robin has to be funny? Tim Drake is an intense character in the heat of battle. People wanna make him a wisecracker like Spider-Man but the two are not alike. Dick Grayson, done right, would be a dark character but he doesn't crossover into the obsession that Bruce has.
I think it would make a great story.
And Nolan's been asked about Robin...he didn't deny he will appear. He refused to comment. |

if my sources were right, nolan said that IF he ever did robin, then he'd be really young.
robin has a pretty bad reputation right now. every one sees him as a sidekick that doesnt do anything and hes just there (i think, i cud be wrong). nolan cud fix that by making him darker. a mirror of bruce?

I think it's funny.. People wanted Robin when TAS was on. Now they don't. Not in The Batman, nor in the movies. Robin can be a great character if done right. Dick Grayson, and Tim Drake are both as dark, and I think sometimes, darker than Batman.
