Billy Dee Williams wanted to play Two-Face, but he ended up with Harvey Dent. Maybe he thought that Dent would turn into Two-Face in the sequel, so he took the role.
Wayons was to be Robin in Batman Returns. DC Comics had Tim Drake slowly becoming Robin about the same time after Batman, but before Batman Returns. Then DC redesigned a new Robin suit for him and I recall seeing a live actor in a Tim Drake costume on one of the Entertainment TV Shows at the time. I want to say that I recall Tim Burton had some involvement in the new Robin costume, but I?m not sure, perhaps it was limited to the film. I?ve never seen photos of Wayons in costume.
The original Batman II script with the Raven Society storyline was better than what we got. I think it?s still a viable storyline and could still be tweaked a bit for use one day.
The lead-time for action figures is still too great and Robin got cut from the film after they committed to do the figure for the Batman Returns line. In the Batman and Robin series of figures there is a Batgirl in full cowl. That was the original concept art and was a better look. Silverstone hated the cowl and it was dumped except for one brief scene with her wearing it in the film. The figure was not changed and was released with the full cowl.
