I didn't bother getting the collection, because I'm not paying money for a Batman&Robin DVD regardless of how special it is, and I also couldn't really be bothered getting Returns either. For the moment, I'm definitely getting BF in the near future.
Anyway, I got '89 yesterday and it was absolutely amazing! The documentaries were great and it was easy to see who wanted to make a good film and who wanted to just make money. One of my favourite things about it , though, was the inclusion of Stan Lee, which shows how he is willing to admit that there are great characters out there that weren't created by him, and that he was friends with Bob Kane.
It was also very heartwarming when Bob Kane's wife explained how he was teary eyed as he came out of the car at the BATMAN premiere because he was so overwhelmed at the ammount of people who had come to see something based on his creation.

I'm asking for the box for Christmas. I don't care about B&R but I want the first three so I might as well.

The only thing I didn't like about the DVD was the average commentary by Tim Burton. He didn't analyse any of the scenes or the lines and he didn't comment on the lighting or any metaphors in the scenes, all he did was ramble on about how the film had nothing to do with the West show.
