My favorite scene is when Penguin was mouthing off to Batman,

"You don't really think you'll win do you?"

I fall on the floor laughing hysterically at this every single time too. OH and my other fave line of his,

"A lot of tape and a little patience makes all the difference".

A friend of mine watched this with me one of the nights it was on TV. She HATED watching the movie with me because I jumped up and down with glee when Penguin came on screen & I kept saying his lines before he would say them.

Watching Batman Returns with me is like watching someone watch porn. I know T.M.I. But it's true.

Back in 2008, I couldn't watch Batman Returns all the way through the first time because I was literally blushing and you didn't NEED to feel my face to feel the heat coming off of it.

And it was cold in my house that night.

Yeah XD lol.

I hate when people do that...I also hate when people make their own words up for songs.

And just so you know Erin:
BATMAN ALWAYS WINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@ Erin

Batman came back with "Things Change." And we can't forget his smartass introduction to the Penguin..."Admiring your handiwork?"

Love or hate him, Batman always does win. He pulled that prank on the Penguin, with the liudspeaker, then stopped his drowning kids plan, then pushed him off and smaked him down, to his death, lol. OWNED.

By the way, remember when Penguin says, "So where are all the Children?" to the Monkey? I wonder If Michael Jackson ever said such a thing to Bubbles? lol. Really, from the excitment shown on Penguin's face, I would of suspected he did more than drown them.

WOAH MAN! Pump the breaks! lol The umbrella thing was enough. Let's try to keep things PG lol

Oh, and... TOO SOON!

But I digress. An interesting fact; when I was young I thought if you "scratched" a CD a would make a "wakka-wakka" sound like a record because Batman does it in Returns. I was disappointed to find out it just makes the disc skip lol I guess back in the 90s people still didn't know anything about CDs.

I'm more traumatising than the movie by far then lol.

It would of been funny if they had done a michael jackson collab like prince on the first one.

You have the music video start with penguin saying "So, where's all the children?" Then have the same set with Mj (make-uped as the Penguin, which would require little makeup for him) dancing along the plank with kids around the water, lol

I'm surprised they didn't have him collab, nobody was a bigger music freak than MJ, IMO.

It would of been ironic by the time 1994 came

This conversation is just going down the toilet....(pun intended)

& apparently my words to defend Penguin have fallen on deaf ears.

M.J....NO! JUST NO!! OMG...that is sick & just WRONG! That just makes me want to freaking cry. I'm sorry...I am not a fan of Michael Jackson. I never listened to his music. No offense to his fans. But I just don't like him, at all. I don't have a reason, I just don't.

I think this conversation is more traumatizing than the movie. & to keep everyone's minds from edging deeper into unrated thoughts....

Let me just clear this up:

Penguin just wanted the kids dead. Just good and dead at the bottom of the freaking sewer. But that never happened because Batman stopped his plan.

At the same time, Penguin sent out his army of penguins but Batman rewired their homing device and they returned back to Penguin instead of attacking Gotham.

And you know the freak what?

Batman always wins is a freaking excuse. If Batman wanted to win, he wouldn't keep killing people.

Ever notice that? Someone always died in the movies. Catwoman didn't deserve to live. & I hate her for living. XP

Tragedy film my left foot....it was a tragedy that Batman had to be so arrogant about everything. I think Penguin should have just shot him in the face. I would have loved to see that.

So, on that note....

Can we please just go back to the topic of conversation?!

Look man. MJ's passing was still rather recent in his fans memory and his fans REALLY don't appreciate that kind of humor. On top of that this is a PG site. There is a time and a place for such jokes, and right now and this message board aren't the time and the place.

I'm telling you, as moderator, no more pedophile jokes and no more jokes insulting dead people. Thank you.

I think the biggest group of people that were traumatized were members of P.E.T.A., if I remember there were members of that group wanting other to boycott the movie because of what was happening to the Penguin's and this was before they found out some of the penguins used were robotic

The boy blunder is repeating his words. BTW Batman and Robin is a much more traumatising film than Batman Returns.

Seriously. I watched BR when I was 3, didn't have problem with it. Saw B&R when I was 8 and I have nightmares of Uma Thurman doing go-go dances in a gorilla costume.
