Okay...
To be perfectly honest, I would say that Christian Bale is both the perfect Bruce Wayne and the perfect Batman.
Other than that, Val Kilmer played an excellent Bruce Wayne and Michael Keaton played a pretty good Batman.
In the shadows I saw my destiny...
I would seek justice...
I would have my revenge... |

hmm...i guess i liked all the batmans except clooney. but all the batmans were different. keaton whispered, kilmer just had a low voice, and bale was just yelling at the top of his lungs with a really raspy voice. theyre all cool i guess. bale was more threatening than all of them for sure.
and i think kevin conroy did all of them. kevin conroy had a low voice, he whispered, he yelled, he did evrything. conroy is definetely the best! IMO..

Best Bruce Wayne - Kevin Conroy
Best Batman - Christian Bale tied with Conroy
My IDEAL Bruce/Bats if I could cast anyone at all - Gregory Peck (age 30)
Kilmer and Keaton were also really good.

Homer: Batman?
Marge: No, a scientist!
Homer: Batman's a scientist.

A lot of people are dissing clooney. I don't think he was the best, but you have to consiter he was in B and R. Any other person would of sucked in it. It was a sucky movie.
if directed and scripted right, I don't think he'd be too bad of a batman. (Probably a better Bruce Wayne though) |

I think Chad Stoops is the only one that didn't play his respective part in any "final" capacity, but he was making a hard run at auditioning for the Joker in the Begins sequel and made his own screen test video. Everyone else has appeared as that character, albeit some were doing it in fan films or as voice actors only. |

Chirstian Bale was the best, Conroy had the Voice and Bartram had the looks, but neither was as talented as Bale. In the other movies, and even the cartoons, Batman always had this odd feel to him; he seemed to much like "some ass-h*** In a costume" sometimes. Bale changed this with his demonic portrail, he gave Batman an other-worldly flare which has been lost since the 40's.
Second Is Kevin Conroy, he's not as good an actor as Bale, but as many fans will agree; He has the definitive Batman voice, when ever I read a comic I hear his voice, when ever I imagine Batman talking I hear his voice.
Third is Michael Keaton, he did a very good portrail of our favorite billionare. He also gains points for having the definitive Batman Browline.
An honorable mention for Clark Bartram, he looks exactly like The Dark Knight, but is a horrible actor.
A second honorable mention for George Clooney, who had the potential to surpass Keaton and maybe even Conroy, but was shot down by one of the worst directors ever. (I don't care if he ever made a good movie, What he did to Batman is NOT acceptable)
As for The Joker,
First is Jack Nicholson, the closest we ever got to having a menacing Joker, if Burton had let him go more menecing with it; he would have been the definitive Joker.
And a big wag of the finger to Mark Hamill, he was entertaning when I was a kid, but now he is just a bad aftertaste in the back of my mouth; The character was way to campy, even in Return Of The Joker, instead of a guy with a sick sense of humour, who was droped in a chemical that made him perpetualy entertained; he is just a crappy bi-polar who is as menacing as a squirrel. And I didn't realise how anoying Hamill's 'evil voice' was until I saw the english dub of Hayao Miyazaki's "Castle In The Sky", of all the bad acting in that dub; Hamill's Two-dimensonalization of Muska was the worst, he single handedly destroyed that dub.
Watch a Hayao Miyazki film, they are the greatest animated movies ever made.
Never start with the head; the victim gets all fuzzy!

Considering the thread's title, the first post doesn't seem to make much sense. Is this thread about best villains and side characters or what? We already have a Who's Your Favorite Batman thread HERE, so let's try and keep from making multiple threads about the same topics. :| Sorry if I sound like a party pooper, everyone.
