Would you like to see Jim Carrey as the Joker?

He might have an overbalance of silliness and not enough murderous, creepiness that Nicholson had. I could just see that being the case.

I've heard rumours of people like Jack Black, Steve Carell and even Carrey playing the Joker, and I think that those ideas are just stupid. The Joker isn't meant to be funny, he's just meant to be insane. That's why I think guys like Crispin Glover (the dad in Back to the Future) are perfect. Crispin always plays the quiet guy in movies, but he looks like he could be pushed over the edge and be turned into a psychopath quite easily.

THANK YOU!!! And look at him in Charlies Angels (Creepy thin guy), the look is prefect! And since its said that in real life he sort of a wierdo, he should be the first considered to pull off The Joker. Its not Jim Careys fault if you think he did bad as The Ridler (blame it on the director!), I mean I think he could play either a good Joker or Ridler but he`s already made his mark in the Batman world and I think its too awkward to see anybody in the past Batman world to come up again in this new era of Batman...and that means NO Michael Keaton as Joker!!!

I think Glover would be the best for the Joker too, but I do think Steve Carrell could pull it off.

Homer: Batman?
Marge: No, a scientist!
Homer: Batman's a scientist.

Some may disagree, but I believe it could be cool to make Joker in a way that we find him humoristic at some times (not too often), and then Steve Carell would pull that aspect the best as we all know but then I guess you`ll worry about the scary insane characteristics about Joker. Steve Carell as we all know is really great actor whos great at comedy, and they say that comedy is the hardest thing to do in acting, like if you can be funny in movies then you can be anything else- serious, dramatic, etc. and theres proof of this theory in seeing Jim Carey in serious roles in other movies, or like how Michael Keaton was mad funny in the Beetlejuice movie but plays our Batman a year later and you think to yourself "WOW! That was the same guy?!!!". So therefore I don`t think people should get mad if Steve Carell got picked which I dont think they`re going to consider anyway but if he does, calm down because we all know how the director is going to want it and the actor will have no choice but is only entitled to suggestions.

Huh, I didn't know who Crispin Glover is until you mentioned Back to the Future. He did have a good part in that, and he seems to have a good face for The Joker.
I agree about those other choices; they'd probably be terrible. Carell's really funny, but I couldn't take any of them seriously as Joker. I know it doesn't matter now, but I honestly think Christian Bale wouldn't been incredibly good as The Joker. He was insane in American Psycho, plus his facial features like the sunken cheek bones and long nose are excellent.
