Here's the link to the image of Batman from the new figures from DC Direct, based off of the graphic novel by Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale: http://www.dccomi...N+FIGURES
Just click "next" on the right side of the screen to see more pictures of the other figures.
I suppose these would look good for someone who's a fan of Sale's art. They look pretty well to me, but I'll probably pass on them.

These action figures feature multiple points of articulation and a display base. Packaged in four-color boxes. They're set to hit shelves October 25.
BATMAN - 6.75" H

COMMISSIONER GORDON - 6.5" H

SCARECROW - 8.5" H

ROBIN & THE PENGUIN - 4.25" H & 3.75" H

I have yet to read this story, but these are some interesting figures. Gordon, Scarecrow and Penguin are the real highlights in my book. Pretty wicked interpretations of the characters. I'll probably wait to read the story before getting them though, mainly because I'd feel dumb for getting figures from something I'd never read.
Robin and The Penguin come together in a 2-pack by the way.

This Batman looks exactly the same as The Long Halloween Batman. Same dumb monkey looking face.

Hah hah! Yeah, I'm kind of wondering why they made him, it's like almost the exact same thing.
The Scarecrow looks very stupid to me. Robin looks pretty cool I guess.
I got into Sale's art a few months back...but now...I don't think it looks too good.

Hee hee. I thought Scarecrow was really "out there" at first, but in a way, his style is so abnormal that I find it intriguing.
I agree; Batman's appearance in the series is kinda pointless. I think it's an interesting design other than the monkey mouth. His hand postures are neat and I like the almost chiseled flow of the cape, but regardless, he appears the exact same as from Batman: The Long Halloween.
Penguin's another far out design, but I almost like the beak face with those tiny razors in his mouth. The fur (or is it feathers?) coat is probably my favorite feature.
Gordon is another unusual look but remains very basic and pretty cool. I'm almost little surprising that he would get his own figure. Took so long for a basic (Hush) Gordon to see production.
Robin's head reminds me of some kinda vegetable... but otherwise, I like the design with its minor changes. Nice staff too. This may be one of the more unusual Batman lines from DC Direct, but I think it's pretty well-rounded, and I've never even read the story. I'm sure Sale fans will love it.

I'm not usually a huge fan of his style, but the Scarecrow is pretty cool. He almost looks like he could part of the cast of The Nightmare Before Christmas. |

Gordon and the Scarecrow are great. Not too keen on the others. Pointless to do what is basically a re-release of the TLH Batman. I hate Sale's rendition of the Penguin, but the sculpt on the figure is very accurate. BTW, Sale's Screcrow design is the one Jim Lee used on Hush. So, we already have a figure based on Sale's design, but a different artist's interpretation of it.

no one looks normal except gordon.
batman has the ugliest face ever and robin looks like a really weird 10 year old.
if i remember correctly, batman was like 6 feet tall and robinw as like 2 feet tall. that kid was so small in TLH.
