Anyone know what's up with the Ducard figure. Anyone seen it in stores? The only place I've seen it is eBay. Why are they waiting so long to release it?

I just did a quick eBay search for "Henri Ducard" and only saw two items, both of which were not figures. This is pretty ridiculous, a really significant character like that should've been out in store a long while ago. Even looking at the kid-playing-with-toys perpective, I'm not sure a lot of kids would care much by now if they saw Ducard in stores (and I can bet you anything he'll be hard as hell to find). How is this good business?

I quit collecting Star Wars figures a few years ago, but I really got the urge to get a bunch of these. It seems like whatever company gets the rights to Batman, they always end up not giving a damn.
Great avatar, DrCane. Hee hee.

i have a bad feeling about the final Begins wave. Mattel doesnt have a very good track record when it comes to the final assortments of lines. WB should really recosider the license when it comes up again. they prolly would have been better off sticking it out with Kenner/Hasbro. they knew that there were media projects in the works, so they knew that Hasbro would have started putting out new product. this was just a bad decision, imo, on WB's part.
if i come across this assortment and see more than one Ra's or Ducard i will pick them all up. in case someone here still needs it.

Caleson, the reason u prolly didnt find it is b/c its just "ducard". They never once mention the name Henri in begins, kinda stupid. "My name is merely Ducard". They even credit him as ducard. I dont know y though.

Okay, so this thing is packaged and everything. People even have it on hand selling it on eBay. Either Decuard's already out (which I doubt), or coming very, very soon. What's the deal?
...Screw it, I'm asking that eBay seller if he has any clue. Hopefully I get a response...

I have not seen any, but I so far South just about everybody gets stuff before we do. I have not seen the other Batman variants either so maybe they are just not out yet.

I saw a new assortment of Batvariants at the store yesterday, but no Ducard. It's typical Mattel BS, nothing more. Don't sweat it.

I have seen the new Bat-varients, but no sign of anything else. Ducard and al Ghul were going to be the last figures that I bought from this line, but it is getting to the point that whatever I got last will be my final figure.

This is mindblowing. I asked the eBay seller where he got the Ducard figure he was selling and he said Wal Mart. The auction ended at $104.50, the winner: matchesmalon39.
Response from philryder58
Item: BATMAN BEGINS DUCARD ACTION FIGURE (5992236210)
This message was sent while the listing was active.
philryder58 is the seller.
I found it at a walmart store the other night
He could've been just saying that for kicks, but I who knows. I think he was telling the truth. Maybe Mattel is going beyond UK and Australia exclusives and doing US state exclusives. Coming Exclusively to Iowa: Batman Begins Commissioner Gordon!
....God this is stupid.

So far I have not seen Ducard. Ras is out and has been for weeks. Wal-Mart often gets figures out before Target so maybe they do have them.

It is pretty annoying. I've seen "Ra's" around a dozen times-- although it's been a few weeks since I've seen one-- but still not a sign of this one. This is the one figure I really wanted from this series, as Ra's al Ghul is my favorite villain, and figures of him are all too rare. But I'm not about to shell out that kind of cash for one.

There's no need for that. Just like Ra's and Scarecrow I think there will be plenty of Ducards hanging on the pegs after the eBay Scalpers have their fill.

GAAAH! I really want that damn figure! I was on vacation in NY recently and I was on a pretty tight budget, so I said to myself that I would look for Ducard and then buy other stuff. Of course, no Ducard and I had to leave before I could buy other stuff. Needless to say I was pretty p*ssed.

Maybe, but I'm not 100% certain, this being one of the final assortments. As someone pointed out above, Mattel has a tgerrible track record when it comes to releasing the final assortments of a line, even a big one like this. Two recent examples are the Snake Men assortments of the Masters of the Universe line, and the Batman comic line. They kinda just petered out, and the final assortments were only available in extremely limited distribution, then overseas only. I imagine Ducard will become more widespread than those, but I think we won't see him everywhere en masse, like we did with Scarecrow.
