The first three are okay, but Robin and Damian both look awful. Too bad, as that's the first figure of Robin in his awesome new outfit.

OK,I am ignorant if a character in the Batman mythos (a VERY rare happening).
WHO IS THE DUDE IN WHITE???
Damian? So, WHO the HECK is THAT??????
Also, I'm sure you ALL noticed that the "new costume" is the TNBA one!!!!
(I haven't had a chance to look at the new comics in a few months, which probably explains A LOT of my ignorance right now).
The most recent "crisis" struck me as rediculous (I don't like "unrealism/multiple universe/attack of space whatever" based stories). So I got "out of the habit." But, that is the topic of a WHILE other thread . . .

True, but Robin figures were seen in the red costumes in TNBA even before the long sleeves version appeared in comic books.

Not quite, as you can see the TNBA Robin had black short sleeves. The new look has red long sleeves.

Damian is the son of Batman and Talia al Ghul that was first seen in the graphic novel, Batman: Son Of The Demon (1987). Damian is reintroduced in Batman # 655 in the Batman and Son story arc that ended in Batman #658. Check out Wizard #182, Page 38 for more details.
As I recall there was another son of Batman and Talia named Tallant who was introduced in Batman: Brotherhood Of The Bat, which was an Elseworlds story.
So my question is Damian going to be legitimate (in Batman cannon/mythos) and Tallant not?

OK-> Damian (as version of "Demon"?), son of . . .
So, the Batman/Taliia is official chronology now.
(iS it just me, or does the "official" character chronology seem to shift quite a bit, as is "fitting" to current Batman incarnation?)
As for the Robin costume, there was a Batman: Animated varient released in one of the multipacks that had the BTAS Robin in the TNBA Robin costume colors. It is one of my favorite figures in my collection.
I was meaning the costume is "basically" the same (color-wise, which was a relatively radical change when TNBA came out). I like the longer sleeves (more or a match for the Batman costume).
I think the figures look cool, esp. the Batman and Joker.

I know, I have some of those. But those aren't comic-style figures, and the new outfit has several major differences anyway (The long sleeves as you pointed out, the scalloped cape, etc.). It's just inspired by the outfit in TNBA. I was hoping it'd have a better plastic debut than this.

Some of these do seem to have a bit of a plasticy look so far, but overall, they look cool. Robin has some strange muscle tone; I can't quite put my finger on it though. Batman does appear to have overly broad shoulders which may be due to how his cape doesn't wrap around them very widely. He still looks very impressive though. Something about the clean constrast in Joker's face and suit make him look unnatural in the photo, but I bet he'll turn out great as will the Ninja Man-Bat.

Is there still time for DC Direct to make some minor changes or are these the final products? |

There are usually a few changes between the solicited image and the final figure. These aren't supposed to be out until after September this year. I don't specifically know since there does not seem to be a listing for them on the DC Direct page yet.
What changes would you like to see on them?

Nothing on Batman, its perfect the way it is. But people have been complaining about Robin so for example, his muscle tone and it looks like his costume is too big for him. |

As you may have noticed in previous lines, minor changes are common. Hush Series 2 Nightwing, for instance, had a blue mask instead of the black one seen in the catalog photo. Some of the Hush figures were originally officially described as having interchangable hands (those with and without pistols) but that didn't happen. A modification in the actual sculpt is rare, however.

The batman looks great, i didn't notice the big shoulders and the figure overall is perfect. the only thing i wish they would do is make a black/grey version of him but i know DCD won't do that so im fine with this color uniform. it sucks that batman won't have any accesories, in the TNI press release it said he will have arcticulation and a base, that sucks but its ok i was going to display him anyways. all in all i can't wait to get him in OCT.
I'm New Batman of Hialeah city.

Yeah, I thought Robin looked a touch chubby too. As far as wrinkles, Batman seems to have his tights in a wad coming out from the shorts. Overall a nice sculpts on all the figures.
Damian looks the least impressive, must be why he's bundled with Robin. I have not seen the story arc yet, but Wizard showed him in a ninja style outfit, what happened to that?
Now we just need Talia to make the rest of the family. We already have grandpa Ra's from the Hush series of figures.
