I just picked up Blade Whip BATMAN and this appears to be a The Batman ShadowTek Series 3 figure. The figure has an “L” rather than the “K” prefix to its SKU Number that the others do, leading me to believe this is a new series of figures.

All the figures on the Card Back are repaints of previous figures. Anti-Freeze BATMAN, Firefly, Hover Attack BATMAN, Power Net BATMAN, Shadowrang BATMAN and Triple Shot BATMAN range from total repaints to only slightly repainted versions of the previous figures of the same names.

Also out is a new The Batman ShadowTek Electronic Figure, Dual Defender Robin

This is what ticks me off.. it was released with Series 2, but now it might be a series 3? I'll try to contact Mattel and see if they can tell me whats what.

Well they do have the same Assortment # K4010 as Series 1 and 2, but has a SKU # of L2267. All the other figures SKU#’s started with “K”. The Card Back also only shows the new figures, none of Series 1 or 2, so that too made me think they were Series 3.

No matter what it’s really lame on Mattel’s part to produce a whole Series of previously released figures. They were so lame they did not bother to even change the names, except for Blade Whip Batman, which is a repaint of Razor Whip Batman. Not one new figure at all in this series.

I got them at Toys R Us. Which is odd because they NEVER beat Wal-Mart or Target to putting out new figures. Maybe this is an exclusive line to TRU. TRU could use something to make them stand out, but repaints is not the way to go.
