Just thought it would be interesting to see a little about your collections.
Basically, I wanna see your oldest Batman figure, not the oldest date wise, or one you had but have now lost, the first one you got in your current collection.
Then your latest one,
And then your favourite.

My First

A Toybiz Batman movie figure, of the round jaw variety. I got it for christmas in 1989, back when I was but four years old. so you could say I've been collection for over 16 years, when in reality it's only been about 8 months. Need to thank my sister, Helen for this one. All the accessories are lost, and that isn't his original cape, but the rope still works and there are no chips at all. I love it.

My Last

A US exclusive Campbells Mail-Away The Batman Zipline Action figure. Only just got it a week ago, from a kind Canadian gent on ebay. Ironic, really, in that it is effectively the same figure as my first.

My Everything

Not technically a figure, but my collection is based on effigies of the Batman, anything from Zippo Lighters to Pez Dispensers. My girlfriend bought me this Kotobukiya wall gargoyle for Valentine's Day this year, and although I had bought certain things like the Crimson Mist Batman, and the Mattel DC Superheroes Batman already, this is what got me seriously collecting.

I was also gonna ask about least favourite figures, but by the time I had that idea I had already come up with the topic title and didn't wanna ruin it lol. It would probably be one of the Knightforce Ninjas, probably the one with the red mask and only one shoe, that does a karate kick that sacrifices it's ability to stand on a shelf for more than 3 minutes at a time...

So yeah, your turn;

I figured that there would be some takers on this. I don't have a lot of time to use a camera to take some pics of my stuff most of the time so I used the B:YTB archives, but here are mine:

Click the pictures for bigger ones.

My First:

Kenner Super Powers Batman

As best I can remember, I got him with Robin in the Batmobile. I don't know if they came in the same box with the car. Either way, I got them all at the same time. I spent a lot of time playing with that figure, especially since the first wave villains of Super Powers was largely Batman and Superman villains. That lead to a lot of World's Finest team-ups.

I still have this one. It is on display with one of my latest in a display of the seven original Super Powers figures (which I got when they first came out) and their DC Direct 6" counterparts. I will try to get a good picture of it sometime.

My Latest:

DC DIrect Knightfall: Tengu Mask Bruce Wayne and Azrael Batman

This is a tie since I bought the entire wave of Knightfall figures at once, and both figures are technically Batman figures. I did a head swap with the Tengu Mask Bruce and the Unmasked Hush Bruce Head. That way I had a Bruce Wayne to go with the Clark Kent figure. The Az-Bats figure is pretty cool even though they left out a couple of details.

My Favorite:

DC Direct Secret Files: Unmasked Batman

I just really like the style of this figure. It is just a repaint of the Hush Batman, but I really like the oval bat symbol. This is the style of Batman from when I really started to get into the comics (just after the Troika story if anyone if curious). Batman had been broker, returned, left Dick Grayson as Batman, and then returned again. We were finally back to fun short stories and done with the big events for a while.

My least favorite:

Mattel Electro-net Batman

I bought it because it was $3 on clearance at Walmart. It was not too long before I had it disassembled for customs. This figure is so bad that they had to put two bat symbols on it to make sure that you could figure out who the character is supposed to be. I won't even discuss the color since that is too easy. There is no cape, and a big thick piece of plastic sticking out of the back for the launcher to mount on.

Thing is, I just realised that my first could be the Keaton face one, and not the round face one, as the lips are very defined. does anybody have both of them, and if so could they take a close up on the faces together?

Good choice for favourite DK, I really wish I had gotten that one when it was widely available. I have a Mattel BTAS figure in the same ensemble (the one with the Joker), and it is among my favourites.

I was going to respond, then I realized that all three would have to be Zipline Batman from the Mattel line. With the exception of cars and robots (and cars that turn into robots), I usually only pick up one version of any figure. Very cool idea, though - I'd like to see more people's f/l/e collections.

You definitely don't have the one I have. The ears on mine are more curved than the one you have. I have tried to buy a different one and ended up with the same one twice.

For comparisions you can check the figure archives it has a comparison shot of the 3 variations. Best I can tell yours looks like the Round Jaw. Mine is the Keaton Face.

Caleson or FlaBat should be able to tell better than I can though.

My First: Batman Returns; Night Climber Batman
http://batmanytb.com/actionfiguresanddolls/actionfigures/movies/batmanreturns/brnightclimber.jpg

I bought it when I was two, my parent's had brought me and my siblings to the store and let us by Batman Returns figures, I chose this one.

My Last: Spectrum of the Bat; Gamma Blast Batman
http://batmanytb.com/actionfiguresanddolls/actionfigures/animated/spectrum/gammablastbatman.jpg

I was a at a toy store a few years back, and felt instant nostalga seeing the old Btas head sculpt, so I bought it, I've been unable to locate any decent bat-figures since.

My Favorite: Btas; Bruce Wayne
http://batmanytb.com/actionfiguresanddolls/actionfigures/animated/tas/tasbrucewayne.jpg

My sister had this one, but eventualy grew out of it and gave it to me, unfortunatly she ahd lost the arm and leg armor, so it only had a cowl and chestpiece; none the less I still used this as my primary Batman until I replaced it with a Tnba Bruce.

My Second Favorite: Btas; The Joker
http://batmanytb.com/actionfiguresanddolls/actionfigures/animated/tas/tasjoker.jpg

My first Batman villian, I was in the store and saw it had a weird greenish face, but I still bought it and he perfomed the task of main villain ever since.
