BYTB has a forum based RPG board already, and has for some time now.

I liked it and started a few RPG stories, but it never seemed to really catch on for some reason. The last post was more than 30 days ago.
At least with a Forum based RPG people can read the stories, how would that work with a Messenger based one?

Actually.. thats not really BYTB's anymore.
I've been wanted to start a new forum based one hosted by us, but I'd need to find peopl eintrested enough.

Hey, this thread got me thinking about the good ol' days. It reminded me of the RPG, so I decided to create a new layout and revamp the site. Beyond, if you want to sponsor that again, ill put your logo or whatever you want on it again. You can PM me if you want or IM me, although your never on! lol.

That was the problem with the other one, but I can see if an RPG was another Section here it might get used more than a different site. I had no idea it wasn't ours anymore.

The problem is not starting an RPG Board. The problem is keeping it going. We had one before and only a very few people posted every so often. In some cases RPG?s just seemed to stop rather than end. People just gave up.
We could look into starting a new one, but how many people will be regular Posters on it?

Hopefully a lot? I know that a lot of RPG boards on LiveJournal work really well, and accounts are free and easy to set up there.
Same goes for sites like GreaterJournal, etc...

An RPG stands for role-playing game, kinda like Final Fantasy or Everquest. This is going to be an online RPG like Star Wars Galaxies. If you aren't really familiar with those you can look them up on IGN.com and get some info. I don't know enough about them because RPG's bore me.

Well, on the old one we/they basically chose characters to portray and acted out a story by posting dialogue and narration. It would go back and forth to different characters and create a story. I think someone would usually start it up by posting a story outline and choose their character and wait for other members to join in. I wasn't much into it, but it seems to have a good enough following to be ressurrected.
