There?s a new Hot Wheels Gift Set out there. Simply called ?Gotham City? with Batman Begins logos, this set has five previously released vehicles.

The Batmobile, Batcycle and Batcopter are from the Batman Begins series of vehicles last year. The other two are a Dodge Viper SRT-10 and a submarine called ?Fathom This? with four blades on it. It makes a cool looking Batsub

The Batmobile and Viper are flat black, the Batcopter and Fathom This are gloss black with chrome and blue chrome accents respectivley. The Batcycle is a blueish gray. All but the Batmobile are colors exclusive to this set. I found it at Target, but I'm not sure it is a store exclusive.

Sorry, no picture (yet)

Sounds cool. Hope you can post a picture of it soon. For the Begins Batmobile featured in this set, is it colour in Black, or is it in it's prototype/Military colours? As well, I'm not 100% sure, but I think last year, Mattel did 2 version of their Hot Wheels Begins Batcycle, with the 1st and rare versions coming with a sperate little figure(I believe it was the same as the 1 that came with the black Begins Batmobile, which was based on the Battle Gear Batman figure judging from the accessories in the figurine's hands) and no one on the cycle, and then the later versions coming with just a motocycle with a figure stuck on it. Could be wrong on that though.

Yes, it's the same as it was in the regular Hot Wheels Batman Begin assortments that had the vehicle and figure.

Here's a link from Hollywood Die-cast on pretty much all the Hot Wheels Batman Begins 1:64 scale toys(Escept for the Gotham City playset), which includes this Gotham City 5 pack:

I saw it at my K-Mart and was debating if I wanted to get it. Its really nothing special and the Tumbler is not the one I liked. I figured the collector's edition Batmobile and Tumbler is good enough for me.

There is a new variant of this set out there now. The ONLY difference is that they include a black GCPD Police Car instead of the Batcycle. I’ve seen this a couple times and passed on it so far because I’m not sure I want to spend the bucks for all 5 to get just the GCPD Police Car, but maybe I’ll cave in and buy the next one I see.

Should note this new 2nd verison of the Hot Wheels 1:64 Scale Batman Begins 5 pack has recently started to show up in Canada. From what I recalled, the GCPD car looks like it is actually dark blue(I'm talking really dark), not black. Of course, I could be wrong, so I may have to check it again. The GCPD car is just a repaint of a regular car, with no sirens on the top of the car. As well, the blue on the Bat Sub is different. While in the orginal release(The 1 with the purple Batcycle) used some Metallic blue at the back, the variant release(The 1 with the GCPD car) uses regular blue at the back.

Interesting varaint, but I think they could of done more. For example, the Tumbler could of been in prototype colours(So that those who didn't get the 1st release in 2005 could get it), or even in blue(similar to Mattel's 1st release of the Tumbler Batmobile in the Batman Begins 5" action feature line back in 2005. Besides, Congi I think sometimes releases blue and black verisons for most of their Batmobiles, so why not). The Batcopter could of either be in blue or could have blue windows instead of yellow. As for the Viper, maybe replace the yellow windows with a different colour(Either blue or black). This way, if someone were to pick up 2nd verison of the Batman Begins 5 pack, at least it wouldn't exactly feel the same since the other vehicles are colour differently.

None the less, still somewhat cool because of GCPD car, even if it's just a regular car. Who knows, if Hot Wheels does a Batman: The Dark Knight toys(Which I'm sure they will), they could re-release this GCPD car or something, or even a better verison with sirens or something.

Hollywood Die-cast has posted some pictures of the newer verison of the Hot Wheels 1:64 scale Batman Begins 5 pack, which comes with a GCPD car(Which now seeing it again realize that it is actually blue, not black. Sorry about that confusion). Here are 3 links so that you can see the GCPD car as well as the Bat Sub using regular blue instead of metallic blue, with the 1st to the main site(Look for article "8/12/07 - Holy Re-Release!" ), while the last 2 show you pictures from this verison of the 5 pack:

In the recent Lee's Toy Review Magazine(October 2007, Issue 180), on page 63, if you look at the Options box, you will see that there is a variant regarding the Dodge Viper car from this Hot Wheels 1:64 scale Batman Begins 5 pack. For the Viper car, it has to do with style of the hub caps of the car.

In 1 picture, it's labeled as "With o5 Black Hub", which is what I believe is the regular version(Since that's the 1 I usually see, as well as the ones that most probably have. Not to mention, the earlier release that had the Batcycle instead of the GCPD car used the same type of hub). In the other picture, it saids "With 5s Black Hub", which I believe is the variant of the Viper car. Keep in mind that this seems to be only for the current verison of the Batman Begins 5 pack which features the GCPD Car, and not the Batcycle.

It's hard for me to describe how the hubs look like to be honest. Unless you are a Hot Wheels collector who looks at this, I'm not 100% sure if anyone will understand what I mean. Still, I will use pictures from Hollywood Die-cast to try and help, espeically since I don't actually own that issue, just looked at it from a friend of mine.

1st off, here's a picture of the Viper from the 1st verison of the 5 pack that shows you what the "o5 Black Hubs" look like:

And here are 2 links to help give the idea of what the "5s Black Hubs" look like, with the 1st from the Tumbler Batmobile from the 1st verison of the 5 pack, and the 2nd from the GCPD car from the 2nd verison of this 5 pack. Just keep in mind that these 2 only give you the idea of what the 5s Hubs look like, as it might not be 100%:

And just to kind of futher maybe help out, here are 2 links on the 5 pack in packaging, with the 1st from the 1st verison, and the 2nd to the more current 2nd verison. Just look at the wheels/hubs of the Vipers, Tumblers, and the GCPD car:
