I guess this is the right place to put this.
So there's a new Andy Kubert statue coming out, and a Jim Lee one. Does anyone know if Andy Kubert actually drew a Batman: Black and White and if so which issue was it in?
Also, would anyone like to comment about the statues? Personally I'd love to have one, but I don't see them much, if anywhere. I also will need a pretty good bit of cash. |

I don't think Andy did any of the stories for B&W V1 or V2. Joe Kubert wrote and illustrated the story "The Hunt," which was in the first B&W and also has a statue as part of the B&W line.

I've been wanting to start a thread on these. I still don't own any, but I'd love to get the Alex Ross and a few others. I believe they retail for $50, which is just a little more than I'd like to pay. Plus, I've never seen one in-person, so it's hard to judge their quality.

the batman B&W statues are very cool, i dont have nay although i did preorder the alex ross batman so i can't wait. here are some links from Michael Crawford site when he reviewed three of the statues:

im surprise that these are only 7" tall its the size of a figure, yet it cost about $50 to $60 bucks. it would be cool if these were made as a action figure series instead of statues, it would so much better (and easier) to have every artist specfic batman in action figure form but thats what i think.

From the few that I've seen in person, the quality is definitely up there. $50 is a bit more than I'm willing to pay for them as well, but it's less than what I've paid for certain action figures, models, or diecasts...if it's up your alley, they'd be well worth it.
