With all the hype going on for the Hot Wheels 1966 T.V. Batmobile, I though I should state some upcoming Hot Wheels The Batman 1:64 scale toys coming out in 2007, which I found out about at a website call Hollywood Die-Cast.

- For the 2 The Batman Hot Wheels 2 packs, which features a Batmobile(Based on the 2nd season/EXP Batmobile) and another vehicle for the villian along with a little figurine, there's a The Batman V.S. Joker with Joker figurine, and The Batman V.S. Riddler with The Batman figurine. There is a slight difference between the 2 Batmobiles in these 2 packs, with the Batmobile from the Joker 2 pack having a lighter metallic blue than the Batmobile from the Riddle 2 pack. The Batmobile from these 2 packs are also featured in Hot Wheels 2007 Mystery Cars line, in which the car will be cover in black and you won't know which car you'll get until you open it(However, Mattel has stated that there maybe a sort of # system you can use to find out what the mysterious car is, but no idea if it will happen or not). No idea if the Mystery Line Batmobile will be any different from the 2 packs.

- A new Batman Blaster track, this time with a The Batman theme to it. It comes with an exclusive Batmobile like vehicle in black and yellow, which may or may not be a repaint of a regular Hot Wheels car. As far as I know, this Batmobile has never appeared in the show(I've never really seen The Batman), but it's still cool looking in my opinion.

- There are some Superman and The Batman theme Trasnporters(Pretty big truck toys that can carry about 12 1:64 scale Hot Wheels cars). Perfect for those who want to give and idea the truck is carrying a display of a bunch of Batmobiles/Batman theme vehicles either for an auto show or even shipping them to a car lot or even to Wayne Manor, right out of the shop. At the back, it shows a very interesting design Batmobile, and it's unknown if this will actually come out later in 2007 or not, let alone if it will ever appear in the show or not.

- As well, they stated that there are some random 2 packs cars, and some of these 2 packs will feature a black and gold Batmobile variant that is based on Mattel's Batmobile from their Batman 6" line. This Batmobile has been recently released as a single in late 2006.

Here's the link to Hollywood Die-Cast for more info, as well as pictures of the items I mentioned:

Went to a Canadian Wal-mart and saw The Batman Blaster Track. As well, I saw there was a Hot Wheels DC Superheroes motocycle theme 2 pack with a small set/track, which features a Superman theme cycle and a Batman theme cycle. At the back of this toy, they also showed a Hot Wheels play track that call call something like "Batcave Trainning"(Sorry, I forgot the exact name), which features a loop-to-loop track that goes around in circles(In other words, it just goes back in a loop and go throughs the loop-to-loop again), as well, it appears that it will come with either a Batman theme car or a Batmobile.

As well, I saw and managed to picked up 1 of the many single 1:64 scale Hot Wheels black and gold Batmobile that is based on the 6" Batman comic book line Batmoible that Hot Wheels 1st came out with in their 2003 line. Gold is on the seats, back thrusters, and the bottom of the car. Was actually hoping to see the 1966 T.V. Batmobile, but this black and gold 1 based on Mattel's Batman comic book line is a good 1 to get, and I'm glad to have gotten it since I don't have a Hot Wheels verision of this car in other colours.

The car in the Batman Blaster is a redeco of the Acceleracers Racing Drone RD-06 (a nice choice for a Batmobile, actually). I still have yet to pick up the set...it's kind of expensive since all I want is the car, but it's still really cool looking.

Nice find, the black and gold is one of the better colors used on this mold. For anyone else interested, it is also available as part of a two-pack with a Barracuda.

The 1:64 scale Batmobile that was has been shown at the back of The Batman Transporter has been spotted on E-bay according to Hollywood Die-cast. This Batmobile is a repaint of a car from the 2005 Hot Wheels Acceleracers line and has The Batman style logo. Go to the link to the main Hollywood Die-cast site, which I have at the end of this 1st post, and look for the article title "3/4/07 - Spotted on eBay", to get a better look at this Batmobile with a picture from the e-Bay auction.

Doh! You mean you had it on your site for a little while now. Man, I must of missed it, because I went to The Batman Batmobile toys section on your site last week and didn't see it, or don't recall seeing it at least.

It was added exactly one week ago today, so if you stopped by before then it wasn't up yet. I've been doing one big rolling update of the toy section over the last few weeks, with new stuff added just about daily. It's currently a little over 300 different toys, with the old tin toys as my current focus.

I was at Wal-Mart yesterday & noticed a NEW Batman related Hot Wheels thing I have NOT seen yet & it's kinda weird. I'm sorry I forgot the excat name of it but basically it's a Semi-Truck Car Hauler with Bat-Graphics on it & it's meant to haul Batmobiles ( extra cars not included ). Ya know when you see those trucks hauling new cars to the dealership & there are 2 layers of cars stacked on each other??? It's one of those...it's called "The Batmobile Hauler" or something like that. Since it is Batman I'll probably be manipulated into buying one but it is very very strange!

It's the Batmobile Transporter. I agree, it looks pretty cool; they didn't go overboard with the graphics. Maybe not something Batman would drive, but neat nonetheless. B)

I got one. It?s the OCD Batman thing I have stuck in my head.

I think I?ve only seen these at Toys R Us and I also saw a Superman one. It comes with a small Batman figure too. It?s cool I have several different Batmobiles in mine, although it?s not as nice as I recall. I had gotten one of these these transporters (not a Batman one) a couple years back for my son. As I recall it was just a bit different and the cab could separate and turn from the trailer. This one the cab comes off, but there is not notch where it will turn while holding the trailer.

Oh, notice the cardboard cut out of cars in the box? They are Batmobiles and other Batman themed cars. There is one I did not know of. It?s in the middle between the two purple cars and looks like a Batmobile, but I never seen it before. Anybody know what it is?

It's the "Power Rocket," first relased as part of HW's 1995 series; you can see the various versions of it here. The black with red canopy is my personal favorite because you're right: it looks like someone at HW was having some fun with Batmobile concepts. It has the fins, the jet engine, and everything.

They also make good custom fodder Smile

A new one has been spotted:

"Temblor Getaway" comes with a Temblor-themed Hummvee, a repainted Accelleracer RD-09 Batmobile, and an armored Batman figure. Same basic package as "Joker's Last Laugh" and "Riddler's Revenge."

I know I should not do this; but here it
goes...
The two non-comic Batmobiles (that Hot Wheels
has repainted from old molds), has got to
stop...
This is getting into the territory of slapping a
Batman face on a lunch box and selling it as
the real deal...
I have one rule when I purchase a Batman
collectable...
It must be a solid 3D Batman related object
in order for me to place it into my collection...
Ok...I could see if it was a repainted Twin-Mill,
Split Image or even a Turbo Flame; but these
casts???embarrassed
Thumbs down...sad

Recently at Toys R Us, I saw a new Hot Wheels The Batman theme playset call Arkham Aslyum Escape, which features a black car with a red "The Batman" logo and I believe it had red windows. The car looks more like a concept regular car, and it doesn't have any features that look like a usual Batmobile(Unlike recent repaints of regular Hot Wheels cars). Though the car design did sort of reminded me of the Custom Coupe Bruce Wayne Car toys that were released by Kenner as part of their Batman Returns and Batman: The Animated Series lines(Which both came with a Bruce Wayne figure), particually in civilian mode/with Bruce driving. Don't know why though, as I don't even remember if it actually even look like the Custom Coupe Bruce Wayne car.

Good find, A_Spidey_Fan! I didn't know about this one, I'll have to check TRU.

I have to agree with Inzo. There is plenty to use in the Batman Universe and there is no need to keep repainting regular Hot Wheels cars as “Batmobiles” no matter how cool it may seem.

While I can see why it's frustrating, I can't really blame them. As we learned from Corgi, the Batmobiles are just as susceptible to licensing restrictions as every other facet of the DCU. So Mattel has two options:

#1: Pay additional licensing fees to DC so that they can spend the time, effort, and money tooling up new molds, getting approval from DC, creating new packaging, and marketing a product line that, while accurate, will miss 90% of the toy-buying public (kids, moms, & dads).

OR

#2: Slap a "The Batman" logo (which they already have) onto an existing casting (which is already paid for) and spend the rest of the day collecting profits.

Recently at Hollywood Die-cast, the person found a new The Batman 2 pack, this time featuring a Mr. Freeze van, and The Batman EXP Batmoblie, with the lines this time being green instead of blue. It comes with a little The Batman figurine that is in green camo colours. The figurine looks to be a repaint of the 2 pack that comes with a Riddler theme car. Here are links from Hollywood Die-cast for more pictures on this Hot Wheels The Batman: Mr. Freeze Escapes 2 pack:

Also, according to Hollywood Die-cast, they stated that they heard that Mattel will be making more of these The Batman 2 packs with figurine. For more info, go to this link to the main Hollywood Die-cast, and look for the title "4/7/07 - Holy 2-Packs, Batman!":

Today at Tous R Us(TRU), I saw 3 new DC Comics theme Hot Wheels small sets. 2 of them were The Batman theme sets, and the other was a Superman theme set. All 3 come with a vehicle, a figurine, a car launcher, and some little playset for interaction(Either to help the vehicle do something or aviod some trap).

For The Batman sets, 1 is a Joker theme, and the other is a Riddler theme. Both come with the EXP Batmobile, with the Batmobile from the Joker set having blue lines(Looks like a regular shade of blue, not Metallic or light blue) and window, while the Batmobile from the Riddler set having green lines and window. The Joker set comes with a The Batman figurine which looks like it's based on the 1st The Batman Bruce To Batman figure from the 5.5" line, and the Riddler set comes with a Riddler figurine. I think the idea of both The Batman sets is to have the Batmobile avoid the traps.

As for the Superman theme set, it comes with a Superman figurine, and a Superman theme coloured car with the "S" Sheild on the front. The idea of this set is to have the Superman figurine help a launching car cross over a broken bridge. These sets cost around $5.99(Canadian price) each.
