I prefer the Batman and Joker minimates I got with the C3 stuff a couple of years ago. I wish those sets had sold better, they were great. That Luthor and Harley look cool.

I really like that OMAC, too.

I have to say, though - I wasn't as impressed with the Minimates as I thought I'd be. Everyone was raving about how cool they were (great figures, tons of posability, better than Lego, etc., etc.), so I was really looking forward to the C3 sets when they were announced.

Once I got them, the first thing I noticed was that they refused to stay together. Robin's hair fell off and disappeared within minutes of me opening the box, and Batman's right hand fell off at some point (he was just standing on a shelf) and I can't find it any more. I can't pose them at all without arms, legs, hands, headpieces, and waist joints popping free. On top of that, the articulation seems kind of wasted...Lego's mere seven points of articulation seem to provide as many useful poses as anything here.

Maybe I just got a bad set, but the only figure that I really like from the C3 sets is Flight Suit Batman, because the design is really cool looking. I won't dare try to pose him, though.

Hey Spencer.
I never thank you for looking out for me, thanks!

You are correct, The Minimates dont stay together that good.
I have the same problems with my Robin hair and i almost lost it too.

I Love my LEGO Batman.
To me MiniMates and Lego are not the same type of toys.
LEGO you have more of a free will.
MiniMates not really and they are more like displayed piece than anything else because they will fall apart right in your hands

I didn't have problems with my minimates' limbs falling off, but yeah, the hair pieces refuse to stay in place. I just glued 'em on.

Glue seems like a great idea.

I just Remember that I know the guys who make Minimates.
They promise me some prototypes and other stuff.

Time to make some phone calls
