Check out the preview for Batman #651: http://www.newsarama.com/dcnew/OYLpreviews/daylast.htm

Harvey Bullock is back!!! For those of you who don't remember him, Bullock was one of the main GCPD officers we saw in the Batman books, dating back to the early '80s. He was also a regular on the various animated Batman shows of the '90s. He left the regular cast following the events of the "Officer Down" storyline about 5 years ago. Since then, he's only popped up a few times, most recently in Gotham Central.

Bullock is a favorite of mine, largely because to the way he was handled by chuck Dixon during the '90s. I'm even more excited to pick this up now! big grin

Great news, I'm glad to see him come back. BTAS cemented the character for me, especially Robert Costanzo's voice work.

Awesome. He's always been a favorite of mine. He was the missing thing in Gotham Central. Also cool to see KGBeast again.

I love the KGBeast, but my enthusiasm for his return was pretty much destroyed when it shows him dead just a few pages in. Why couldn't they have killed a villain I wouldn't miss, like Charaxes or Calendar Man?

Oh, come on Charaxes and Calendar Man are the new Penguin and Joker. no not really. It was hard to see the Beast get taken down permanantly, but the issue just gave such a great feeling of newness to the way Batman is going that loss doesn't feel so bad. Definitely a great issue for fans to pick up.

Yep, it's the best issue of one of the core Batman books I've read in quite a while. I'm just ecstatic that James Robinson has returned to comics. Anyone who hasn't read The Golden Age or the incredible Starman by Robinson, do yourselves a favor and do it. Now that he's writing comics again, I hope and pray he'll reunite with Tony Harris and do the couple of Starman projects they've talked about over the years. We never did learn the Shade's origin. :sigh: That's a story I desperately NEED to read!

Anyway, back on topic, I'm veeeery interested to see exactly what Bullock did to get back in the GCPD's good graces. Hadda be pretty momentous, from the way it was referred to in the issue. I wonder if we'll see it during the climax of Infinite Crisis, or during 52?
