*POTENTIAL SPOILER*
Nightwing #50's pretty much just confirmed that Dick will be the next Batman (to me, at least) He seemed a lot more aggressive and determined to stop Two-Face than he ever has, and Barbara even commented that he was using the voice that Bruce used to always use as Batman.
I know it's probably nothing, but that just seemed like a 'prophetical' quote. There's a huge chance that Damian will become Robin and Tim will take up the role of Nightwing, as he has his one of his greatest weaknesses is the fear factor, something he's had to work hard on over the years. As Nightwing, he would answer to himself, and not have to be at Batman's every beckoned call. So really, he'd be leaving for similar reasons to Dick.
Seems like too much of a 'move to the seat on your right' kinda thing, but I reckon this could be it. But anyway, who else thinks that Gordon will die?

Personally I hope they kill this brat off soon . He's annoying, Plus Tim is Bruce's son, this kid will never come close to being as special as dick Tim or even Jason are to Bruce in his heart .

ok IMO if things work the way matt the bat webb thinks they will and everyone changes roles i think tim will stay robin, jason will become nightwing and dick will become batma and personally i dont think that damien will have any part in it.

Oh ok. My bad. Well i think tht part is true also this kid is a murderer he is basically the future head of the league of assains. I mean if he was to be calmed down and bruce could make him understand right and wrong then maybe he would become close to him but if not i hope they kill him soon

I actually like the kid. He's a little B.S.Tard, but he makes a welcome change from Tim: The Emo in Tights. Plus, a little killing never hurt anybody. Just look at the Joker. No, wait, he gets his arsenal handed to him every time. Okay then, look at Jason Todd. Apart from the brutal killing at the hands of the Joker. How about.. ah, forget it. It hurts, yeah, but I don't care that he kills. He annoys Tim, and that's the best thing about him.

*SPOILER UP AHEAD*
Okay, I don't care what you people say about Damian, he's funny as hell. Just read the last part of Batman R.I.P. "I believe that was an ambulance, Master Damian" "What was an ambulance? Just be be glad I didn't leave you to burn in the Batcave, Pennyworth!"
He's such a breath of fresh air, I'm really startin to love this kid. He's Jason Todd with comedy.
As for the issue overall, it was so damn epic, and worth the wait. Possibly the most entertaining story arc written in the Batman comics. Still not my favourite, but it's up there. It just felt so.. perfect. Hats off to Morrison. And even better is that it isn't a proper conclusion, so you actually want to buy the next issue. Glad that there are four or five parts of the overall story are out in December.

Spoilers Ahead (obviously)
The ending was probably the best part of the whole story. Things finally got out of the extremely bizarre stuff and back to a readable story. The Joker was handled well. I really enjoyed what he did to the Black Glove members.
Anyone get a kick out of a whole issue that discusses how Batman prepares for everything then is killed in an exploding helicopter at the end? Is Bruce going to be around in the next issue or what?
This is really something that has to be read together to make any sense. Together it is pretty good, but as separate issues, it makes no sense. I look forward to the next couple of months that establish the new status quo.

^I dunno, you don't need the whole backstory to make sense of it, but you do in order to fully understand the whole picture. And yeah, the last issue was the most epic single issue of a comic I've read in my entire life. Not that I've ready many at all outside of the Batman issues or Sonic The Comic.
And obviously, they've killed off Wayne in a way that he could come back in a few years or summat to re-claim the Mantle of the Bat. Plus, "since Superman died, the door between life and death has been left wide open" (or whatever). Either way, I'm looking forward to seeing the next Batman, however I wanna see how they highlight his flaws as he tries to live up to Wayne's reign.
As for how the new pecking order will go, here are my predictions:
Batman: Dick Grayson
Robin: Damian Wayne
Red Robin: Tim Drake or Jason Todd
Nightwing: Jason Todd, Tim Drake or nobody
Dick's been Batman before, and he's finally gotten over his fear of Two-Face, so that plus his experience as well as how well-respected he is in the superhero community would make him the perfect candidate for Batman. Also, he'd be the perfect mentor for Damian, as the devil child would look up to him due to the fact he was the first 'son' of Batman.
As for Tim, I'm not sure whether he would want to be Red Robin or Nightwing. I suppose Nightwing is the position that comes after Robin, but he's worked hard at making Robin a feared 'wearer of the tights' in Gotham, and probably doesn't want that to all go to .
However, at the same time, Red Robin has no 'moral code' or anything, and he's Jason Todd's short-term identity, so that would probably work well for him. Would he join the Bat-Family, and would he be accepted? My answer is yes, because he obviously still has a lot of respect for Bruce, and his death would probably be the motivation he's always needed to get back on the straight path. Still, he's also been Nightwing, albeit a psychotic murderous impostor, but who cares, really?
I don't need to explain Damian's position either, coz he's blatantly the next Robin. And like I said in my previous post, the dude's freakin hilarious after knockin the Joker off the bridge. Classic scene, imo.
