Has anybody read The Dark Knight Novelization? Was it good? And did it explain details that weren't explained clearly in the film (for example: Two-Face's fall, etc.)

I am going to buy it and read it but just wanted to know the opinion of people who have read it. When I read it I'll post a review of the novel and compare it to the film.

I wasn't released until this past Friday, and I haven't been able to find it. Once I do, I will get it!

I just picked up a copy at Barnes and Noble. They are the only ones that I have found to have it. Odds are what is happening at stores like Walmart and Target is that they could not release the book until Friday, but they stock the book section on Monday evening/Tuesday morning so they won't be putting them out there until then.

A woman in the toy section described a similar scenario with the Dark Knight toys a while back. They could put them out on a Thursday, but weren't going to because they stock the toys on Tuesday, so they were not on the shelves until then.

If you want it now, check out your big book stores, they are pretty diligent to get stuff out.

I finally bought it today (At Barnes & Nobles also), so I will read it as fast as I can during these days and then post a review about it with some spoilers.

I finally finished the novel, and I have to say it was very good, it went a lot more into detail than the movie and explained a lot of things that weren't really explained in depth in the film. My favorite thing about the novel was that it provided backstories to some of the characters like: Bruce, The Chechen, Jonathan Crane and others. I think they didn't give a backstory to the Joker in case there's another film so he can do a backstory of him. The novel does give a lot of mention of Ra's al Ghul and to the events of Batman Begins. For all of those who think Harvey Two-Face is alive then sorry but it explains that he did die. I recommend to give it a read if you want to since I know any Batman fan will enjoy it.
