Okay, so Bruce is coming back, and there is some speculation that both Dick and Bruce will be Batman for awhile. I mean why not, we have three Flashes, two Green Arrows, thousands of Green Lanterns and so forth.. but what about Tim? Personally, I'm not a big fan of the RED ROBIN guise. Maybe if they redesign the costume, but really, Tim is Robin.
Now Damian, he's growing on me, so what would happen to him?? He's grown into the role of Robin and is growing up and realizing what his role is.
Here's a solution that I think could work. I got this idea after seeing the Batman Redrawn sketches over at the The Source

Damian could become "BATBOY" There hasn't been one since the 50s/60s tales of Batman Jr. so why not? I mean there is Batman, Batwoman, Batgirl next up, Batboy.
What do you guys think? Give Tim the Robin mantle back and move Damian to Batboy? Leave things the way they are?
Lets discuss!

My idea: Dick goes back to Nightwing. Tim goes back to Robin. Damien gets caught in a combine harvester.

I sort of an old fasioned guy. A superhero gets one or two side-kicks max. So Dick goes back to being his own hero, and if Tim goes back to Robin, Damien gets the heck out of there.
Maybe he can decome Ra's' disciple or something?

Tim belongs with Bruce, thats for sure, Dick was a great Robin, Tim was awesome. But why not give Nightwing a sidekick? He deserves one, so Batman & Robin, and Nightwing and Batboy..

Did anyone ever think this might be DCs way of moving forward with the Batman mythos, from The Batman we all know and love (Bruce Wayne) to Batman Beyond (Terry McGinnis)
Leave Dick as Batman, Damian as Robin, and Tim can become Nightwing; Bruce in the meantime keeping his hands in the crime fighting business by inventing new crime fighting tools through Wayne Enterprises |

Not a bad theory, but Bruce will be back as Batman, it's like someone else becoming Superman. While they might make a change for awhile, the main people will be back.

I like Raz's idea, Bruce as Batman...Tim as Robin....Dick as Nightwing...and send Damian back. |

I think that sending Damien back is the best idea.... But do it in a slow manner dont allow Tim back into the Robin suit for at least a year of comics.... Make Damien become extremely agressive and jealous over Tim and Bruce's relationship

How about two different teams? Team Wayne and Team Grayson. Each team will have a Batman, Robin, Batgirl, and "Batwoman"
Team Wayne:
Bruce Wayne - Batman
Tim Drake - Robin (in his red costume before becoming Red Robin)
Cassandra Cain - Batgirl
Helena Bertinelli - Huntress
They will operate out of the Batcave
Team Grayson:
Dick Grayson - Batman
Damien Wayne - Robin
Stephanie Brown - Batgirl
Kathy Kane - Batwoman
They will operate out of whereever they currently are
Just a thought.

I see where you're going, but it just seems to convoluted for me.
I'd like it to be like the old days, you know? When you picked up a Batman comic book and you knew it was a comic book starring the Batman.
I guess two Batmen could work if they gave Dick Detective Comics and gave Bruce Batman. But all things considered I'd just want one Batman, one Robin and one Batgirl.

I believe that Bruce will be the only Batman in time. But I can see Dick staying Batman just for a while.
I actually like the "Team" idea, but would rather have the old way back as well. Steph has been a good Batgirl, but I miss Cassandra.
The thing is, Side Kicks are getting younger, and a 3rd/4th generation of them are popping up. Wally's Daughter is now Impulse, Bruce's son is Robin.
I still like the idea of Batboy.
Team Wayne
Batman (Bruce Wayne)
Robin (Tim Drake)
Batgirl Or New ID (Cassandra)
Team Grayson
Nightwing (Dick)
Batboy (Damian)
Batgirl (Staphanie)
And there is a 3rd team..
Team Kane
Batwoman (Kate Kane)
Flamebird (Bette Kane)
Huntress is with the Birds, so I left her out.
I could also see a potentional "war."
Dick will think that Bruce needs time to "heal" so he'll want to stay Batman.
Tim will want the Robin Mantle back.
Cassandra will come back and try to take the Batgirl Mantle back.
Bruce Vs. Dick
Tim Vs. Damian
Cassandra Vs. Stephanie
That could be a very interesting story...

Good concept Chris, but you know in the end the Kane's will have to choose sides or be shunned by both...unless one of them go with each team thrn it really would be a BATMAN: CIVIL WAR |

In that case, Batwoman would go with Bruce, and Flamebird would be with Dick, if they split up..

sounds cool, what do you think of the possibility of a Bat Civil War...should Dick not want to give up the cowl. |

I don't know if I like the idea of a Civil War story. The only two characters I see fighting each other is Tim and Damien. They just seem to hate each other.
I know Bruce and Dick have clashed before but there's an enormous amount of respect between the two. That's why I created the two teams in the event Dick decides not to give up his Batman role. He made it his own and going back to Nightwing doesn't seem like something I want to see.

Well, the "Civil War" idea I have comes from Bruce not wanting Dick to be Batman, and Dick thinking that Bruce should rest and not go right back into the role after being thrown through time.
I don't "want" a war, but I could see it happening.

@Chris...if I can continue your thought...Bruce doesn't want Dick to be Batman, Dick thinks Bruce just wants it for the accolades, however Bruce, just wants Dick to be safe and doesn't want to happen to Dick what happend to Jason. |
