This is an incredible cover. It's giving me flashbacks to the elseworlds classic In Darkest Knight. Check it out: http://www.newsarama.com/dcnew/GreenLantern/GLCv9_Alt_A.jpg

Very cool. I normally skip GL, but I'll have to pick that one up.

It's supposedly a lead-in to the Batman/Hal Jordan "rematch" in GL #10.

I quit the GL comic a month or two back, but if I can get that cover it might be worth it. I think I may end up picking up trades for that title.

The issue is supposed to be released on Febreuary 22. Here is the other cover and plot from DC.com.

GREEN LANTERN #9

Written by Geoff Johns; Art by Ethan Van Sciver and Prentis Rollins; Covers by Simone Bianchi and Ethan Van Sciver

The rematch you've been waiting for since the end of GREEN LANTERN: REBIRTH! Strange deaths in Gotham City point to an all-new Tattooed Man. But can Green Lantern and Batman work together long enough to stop this artistic string of murders? Plus, Batman gets a power ring?

I'm on the verge of dropping it, too. Especially with all the new stuff I'm trying out beginning in March. I decided to give it until issue 10. If it hasn't drastically improved by then, it's gone. It's not a bad book at all, but it's not something that I feel like I must read every month.
