First off, Superman/Batman IS NOT gonna be cancelled, this is just a what-if.

For me, I would want Brave and the Bold.

Not only can you have Superman/Batman or Flash and Green Lantern (whom were THE Brave and the Bold) as the main team ups.

But you can have the team ups between a mentor and his/her protege (Batman and Robin, Superman and Supergirl or Wonder Woman/Wonder Girl).

Team ups you probably either dreamed about or would never thought of in the first place (Batman/The Question, Wonder Woman teaming up with Earth 2 Wonder Woman or an alternate version of her).

Unholy alliances like (Superman/Lex Luthor, Batman/The Joker or Joe Chill "not like Year Two, mind you"wink.

Or not just Superheroes but Supervillian team ups (Mirrormaster/Gorilla Grodd, Deadshot/Royal Flush Gang)

Sidekicks: Robin/Aquagirl, Nightwing (Dick Grayson)/Nightwing (Jason Todd), Kid Flash/Huntress.

Or the team ups you wouldn't think of or want like Superman/Bugs Bunny (like what they did in the Silver Age) or The Creeper/Howard the Duck.

Now, the two last ones I said were stupid, but the idea odf this would be what I want if they decided to cancelled Superman/Batman. But I don't want that, Superman/Batman is a great series and its not just about Superman and Batman. It has Wonder Woman, Outsiders, Teen Titans, JLA/JSA, it doubled for Supergirl's origin, it featured Red Son Superman and Batman Beyond and showcases different World's Finestes from Superboy/Robin to Power Girl/Huntress.

Superman/Batman won't go away but if it did (IT WON'T) Brave and the Bold is what I would want to replace it.

Let's just hope DC doesn't see it and actually do it.

Well, we're getting Brave and the Bold anyway. That was one of the promises made to Mark Waid that convinced him to sign an exclusive contract with DC last year. George Perez will be working on it, too.
I don't read Superman/Batman, so I really have no opinion on the main question of this thread. I may give it a shot again when the new team takes over, if Loeb's crap ever finishes. Looks like the final issue of his run will never ship, at this rate.

Superman/Batman has basically been what you would want a Brave and Bold title to be. It seems like they have teamed up with people in every arc and #25 is supposed to have a Superboy/Robin story. Really if you have any title replacing this title you would end up keeping the format. I personally don't care what the name is. With Superman/Batman you get to use that cool logo that they used in the cartoons.

Loebs stories have been pretty good. I haven't liked this arc because of the massive delays. It isn't related to Crisis so there really is no reason for the delays beyond just not getting it done. I can't even remember what happened in the last issue that was released.

I love Superman/Batman and the fall of Luthor has been one of my favourite story arcs, ever. Pity about Captain Atom's death being fake, though. I like the guy, but having him die a heroic death only to bring him back was a bit shabby, even if it is comics.

I don't think that they ever considered it. They announced the creative team to follow up Loeb a few months back.

flash and gl weren't the brave and bold, batman and (blank) were. it was always batman.

i think they should have a ongoing dc/marvel book. they could have a couple charecters meet at a time. it's just a thought, really long stories, that would be so cool. i probaly only think this is cool because im a marvel fan too. what do you guys think?

What?

I've had idle daydreams about a monthly Marvel/DC teamup book, too. It'd be nice, but it won't happen. Maybe it's for the best, though. If we got intercompany crossovers on a monthly basis, they would lose that special feel that is so much a part of their appeal.

I had to look this up, but the first 65 issues of The Brave and the Bold were just stories then it became a random team up book (featuring the first appearance of the Justice League of America). Then at around issue 66 until it ended at 200 the title was a team up between Batman and another character.

The only Post-Crisis Brave and Bold titles were 6 issue miniseries. One focused on Green Arrow teaming up with random characters, and the other showed the relationship between Flash and Green Lantern.
