For those that can't wait because of the suspense: $2.50. Something they call (possibly with sarcasm) a special low price. I find that a bit funny since of the 6 comics I pick up this week, 5 are from DC and priced $2.50. The other is fom Marvel for $2.99. So maybe they should say the average comic price of $2.50.
For those keeping score that means that before taxes you will be spending $130 for the series. Also no trades will be released until the entire series has finished coming out in 2007. At least this is some of the best stuff I have read in the past 10 years, so it should be worth it. It does motivate me to chop off the couple of titles that I was debating on keeping since this is essentially like picking up 4 new titles.

when it was announced a few months back that the maximum 52 would cost is $2.50, I figured that was what they'd go with. I was hoping for $1.99, but I can live with this. Plus, with the discount I get from Mail Order Comics, I'll be paying a good deal less than that. Probably at least $1 less per issue. So, it won't break the bank for me. I wanna see more of those awesome J. G. jones covers now!

I don't know.....go week by week, or wait a whole year to get the paper back. And when the trade paper back comes out, will it be one really really really big book, or will it be in several smaller paper backs?
I think I'll pick up a few issues to see if its something I'm willing to go buy once a week. With all the info I've heard about it, it does sound like it will be very good. Also, there's going to be many different stories right , so maybe I'll just pick up the ones I'm most interested in.
As cool as this series is, its definately something I'm a little weary of.

I plan on picking it up as it comes out. I go around to too many comic boards to wait a year to know what people are talking about. I doubt that they release a big collection of all 52 issues more that likely they will put out a few of the issues every little bit. They could put them all out in 6 months if they put 8 or nine issues per collection. If they did put it all together it would be a huge book, but would make a nice looking hardcover.

There's a lot of talk that the collections might be seasonal, since the series unfolds in real time. that would be 12 issues per trade, which would be big, but manageable.
