My favorite is Jason Todd because he's the one that Batman failed with. Also I like the way they bought him back into continuity. |

Dick Grayson. He's the only one who's completely matured. Jason failed. He died, than came back and killed a bunch of people. Tim's still under Batman's wing. Dick, he grew out of Robin and became something else entirely.

Man you all got me beat. I guess I'm not the Batfan I thought I was. I would go with Dick because he's the original. However many good points have been brought up. I have been a fan of all of the animated series' more then the comics and Dick Grayson is the only Robin you meet on TV. I mean Sure Tim comes in a little later but never gets the shine that Dick does. |

I like Tim a lot. He's a normal kid, not too perfect and not too bad. The self doubt adds enormous depth to the character, as well. The new costume is awesome, and I especially like the way he's drawn by Freddie Williams II. I'm looking forward to the next issue, when he goes out on his date!
I like Dick better as Nightwing, and the bond of friendship that Dick and Tim have. |

Carrie Kelley. I know this sounds odd, but I like the concept of a female Robin very much. After that, I would have liked Spoiler and Tim Drake. While I grew up with Dick Greyson, I was not much of a Robin fan until Carrie came along.

I actually liked Stephanie's Robin the best. She had already been Spoiler for a while, so she already had a certain degree of experience and self-reliance. The other Robins always had Batman watching their backs (whether they needed it or not), but Steph had to go it alone until she was "hired." Because of her experience, though, she had her own way of doing things that often at odds with Batman's way. Still, she was willing to learn, and had shown that she was capable as both a fighter and a detective. I also liked the way they showed her "arguing" with Batman, but there was always respect there - not like the defiance of Jason.

The term "continuity" refers to what is considered an actual part of one timeline, and Jason?s part in the modern Batman timeline has remained fully intact. But I understand what you actually mean in that he returned to the fray after being dead for many years. Just wanted to clarify that.

I suppose I'd have to choose between Grayson and Drake. I like Grayson's passage through time from his early career alongside Batman to what he is today. I found it interesting that Grayson was consider too perfect, Todd too imperfect, and Drake just in the middle (forgive me for forgetting who said that; I want to say Denny O'Neil). Drake seems practically seamless anymore and Grayson's arguing and quitting the "Dynamic Duo" made him somewhat imperfect in my mind, which I like. Then again, perhaps that incident showed a side of imperfection on behalf of Batman too.

I remember that I was about thirteen the first time I saw Carrie Kelley, I have a thing for Redheads; so I went "She's kind of cute.". But I've always been disturbed by the shot of thirteen year-old Kelley imbracing a butt naked fifty year-old Batman.
Now, I'd like to red-head who's in her later teens, maybe seventeen or eighteen, as Robin; using the classic pantless costume of course.

I would say Dick because of his personalty but I hate his Robin costume. And Tim for a few reasons. One I grew up with him. I mean all my Batman books had tim in them also I saw him on TNBATS even tho it was jasson with tim's name. Second I think he is the most normal Robin there is, I never saw Dick at school exsept for in Robin Year One. The only problem I have with Tim was in his earlyer storys he seemed to Complain a lot. I can see why because he hated lying. I thinks Tim's new suit ROCKS!!!!

Tough choice. It comes down to Grayson or Drake.
Dick Grayson was the first and his origin is the most retold. He also matured as Robin and went on to become Nightwing. It?s hard to beat the original and he stands out as one of the best Robins there have been.
Tim Drake is very good too. More a true detective as he figures out who Batman and Robin are on his own. What I did not like is Drake was at first not emotionally scarred like Grayson and Todd with family tragedy a part of why they became Robin. Tim Drake was a perfect normal kid until DC chose to add some drama to his background and kill off his parents, thereby giving him the angst the other Robins had for motivation.

i think tim is the most interesting out of the bat-family...mainly because i honestly dont know much...lol.
but the fact that he did it for a different reason then batman really drew me into the character. he became robin just to protect the city, and for batman's sake (to calm him down from his sadness/anger). unlike everyone else, there was no revenge involved...that might seem like a bad thing to some people, but i see that as a good thing.
and yeah...anyways. now he's a batman-clone, since his parents died. he's getting pretty emo; his parents died, his best friend died, his girlfriend died, who's next?
