Overall its an awesome picture. You're very detailed when it comes to Batman's costume which I'm sure was tricky. There's one small thing I'm unsure about and its the cowl. I can't explain but its a little weird.
Still though, its a great piece.
The only thing stopping you from success is doubt. |

Nice work, Phil. You did a really good job on the Bat-suit. |

a little more touch ups...

i'm trying to get it as realistic as possible, but i'm too lazy. realistic art work requires a lot of patience and time. there's no doubt i could do it, i'm just...lazy. lol. well w/e, it's a tad bit better than the previous 2.

That's really neat, Phil. Lots of cool lighting, and I like how you slimmed Batman's leg thickness. If you want to keeping improving it, I think some anatomical proportions could be touched up. Batman's head seems a little small for his body. His limbs are large and long in a way that I think I've seen in your work before. This might hold true a tad on Joker, but it's mainly Batman.
Secondly, Batman's complexion is so pale and gray that it's a bit inhuman. More flesh tone and some yellow/orange reflection of the fire would help. And the prominence of his top teeth bared so fiercely reminds me of a vicious Virginia opossum. I think it's also the definition of the individual teeth seen in the latest version that aids this; they almost look sharp. Deemphasizing that would help.
Removing the black outlines of the characters really improved the realism, but I do notice a lot of transparency on Joker's outlined gloves. Also, if you really want to get technical, I doubt Batman's eyes would have the brightest, purest white in a scene like this - the explosion probably would (unless he's wearing some sort of bright lenses). Maybe you could slightly dull the eyes unless you just like that emphasis.

the anatomical proportions are beyond saving at this point, but i tried to fix w/e was needed for batman's face. i'm moving on...i worked on this picture for far too long, lol.
right click the image, and select view image. the picture seems a little better on a white background. since this website is all dark, the picture doesn't look as dark.

Yeah, you can only do so much fixing. As it stands, it's a very nice digital work and a piece to be proud of.

haha i wish i had more comments though. it seems as if there are a lot of forum viewers, but not too many forum members. or members who just look at stuff, and dont voice their opinion.
this thing got 700 views or so, haha.
