The sketch looks a lot better, imo. Looks more detailed, although it's probably just because of the shading.

EDIT: No, wait, it's the more realistic posture and body proportion.

Ummm... Yeah. The "Animated" in the thread title should tip you off to the fact that this is a simplified art style.

Oh my giddy P Diddy God! You're right! That completely changes my opinion! dull

A change in art style couldn't save those films from their boring scripts.

i think the animated version is more legit though. better idea and concept.

and i actually loved every bit of gotham knight. the designs, story, and all. hahaha. and while my designs are cool-looking, they're too detailed for animation, but too simple for comics...these designs are kinda just useless and just for show. i think robin could maybe work in a cartoon, but that batman suit is just way too busy. it would be a killer to animated him.

Yeah, detail-wise, there's a lot going on and it looks great. But the character shape/proportion (w/e you wanna call it) looks to be highly inspired by the Timm-toons, whose character designs just frustrate me like crazy, I guess I had to live with it for so long I have this weird hatred for them.

Still, nothing against your art. It would('ve) be(en) cool if you used a The Batman character design, heck even a Brave and the Bold seems like it'd look pretty cool.
