i made a similar design like this with the teen titans robin. i felt like i needed to do a TB version, lol. i had to make a few adjustments though, the TB robin has a GIANT head and a REALLY small body.

That's cool. Very clean design. The hands are pretty big, but I really like that split in the cape and the brown highlights of the hair. Nice tone of green, too.

I like THAT A LOT!!!!
I STRONGLY agree on the Robin. It takes a trend I don't understand and takes it to another level. If THAT head was on a "real" person, it would snap his neck like a twig. To me, it looks just silly! (The best "animated" version of kid Robin is STILL the BTAS 2 (NBA).)
Your's is MUCH better!

Hmm... Heavy on the black, but that's cool, Phil! Nothing wrong with trying to portray yourself in a certain style or character. I think it's pretty neat.

I like the blacker outfit, but black is my favorite color next to red.

Because of the hair? Heck, the way I see it, if you've got it, grow it. But I suppose I come from a family with a lot of hereditary baldness... I like the hair on the first one the best, but the second one has unique qualities as well.

I like them both very much, Phil qualities with a pinch of The Batman. I particularly like the second one; buzz-cut is far more realistic than the DBZ spikes.

I envy you, when I grow my hair long it ends up in some crappy 70's do. :|

this is where i was getting at with the hair. It does remind me of DBZ.
also the hair makes the 2nd one look more mature and a little bit more like batman.

thats not true, i've had dbz hair before. lol. i have thick hair, and it'll go wherever i want it to go with gel, hahaha. but recently i shaved it all off, hence the second picture of robin. dbz spikes are possible, but theyre unlikely for a crime fighter to have.

yeah, robin is unrealistic as he is. lol. but i think even batman is; not as much as robin of coarse...but he is. a guy who is REALLY strong, REALLY fast, REALLY smart, REALLY rich, REALLY emo, lol. he's just so unreal!
as one the most realistic superheroes out there, he's pretty unrealistic.

Actually, the "Really strong and fast" part isn't that unrealistic. Eastern Martial Arts hone the body to seemingly imposible strengths. A single, well placed punch from a Kung-Fu expert has more impact than a high speed car accident. A single hammer thrust to the chest from a Ninjutsu master will crush your internal organs and kill you.
As for speed, Ninjutsu trains the user to move quickly, and if you merge Ninja techniques with good old fasioned track racing; you've got one fast mo-fo.
And back on topic, one thing that makes Batman so cool is thet however unlikely he is, he is treated in a realistic manner (The source of my distain for TB is its ignorance to this fact). That's sort of what makes Phil/Robin so cool looking.

i know this is off topic, but who cares. this is my thread, lol.
batman is REALLY
-strong
-fast
-smart
-rich
-unhappy(depressed maybe?)
-good at singing..lol
-good at getting girls
-good at losing girls too
-paranoid
no matter how "realistic" batman is, he's one unrealistic character. he's like so perfect, yet so flawed. he's one huge paradox. happy, but sad; strong, but weak; rich, but poor...if u know what i mean. which u probably dont if ur taking me literally.
