I finally scanned some pictures I drew recently. Tell me what you think.

I know the Catwoman pic isn't great. That was just a sketch I did when I was bored, but I sort of liked it. :p

Nice artwork there. I'm kinda rusty on my artwork skills.

Thanks!!!

I was working on coming up with my own style on most of those. Not sure if I'm committed to it. It's still sort of Jim Lee influenced.

Thanks. big grin For that drawing, I don't think I used any reference.

No, I've never tried drawing the Batmobile, but I don't draw cars much, it may be good practice. I might try it. wink

Yeah, I always struggled with muscle structure. You did awesome on it though, you could get into comics. I alwasy liked using charcoal for my drawings in school, I could do all my shading quickly that way. With pencil not so much. Again awesome stuff. Look forward to seeing the batmobile.

I remeber now, I forced myself not to use a reference, for that drawing. I always want to look at something, but that drawing, and the second batgirl drawing, I didn't use any reference. The others were a very minimal use of reference, except the inked Batman.

Yeah, in my art classes, we use charcoal most of the time. Especially since the drawing are really big and the teacher only gives you 10 or 20 minutes for a drawing sometimes.

I think the Joker and Harley Quinn drawing looks best too. I like how Harley's love sick puppy look came out.

Beautful work, batgirl. Very reminiscent of Jim Lee's, but it's good that you're trying to develop your own style. The second Batman reminds me of the Zipline Batman action figure. I'm more interested in drawing human form than vehicles too, but it would be a nice trait to work on here and there. I'd like to see your Batmobile rendition.

I take it you're going to college for art? I was going for an Associates in Art, but the few art classes they had kept getting cancelled because no one was signing up (except me), so I switched to Graphic Design. I'm not trying to develop my drawing skills as much, not like I was hoping, so I feel like they're behind my expectations. It seems a lot of people in my GD classes can't draw worth a crap and just want to use Photoshop for everything, so I look good around that crowd. Smile

Excellent work on all of them, I think the first is my favorite of this batch. It's hard to make women look muscular without drifting into "manly," but you did it perfectly.

Of course, I'd like to see a Batmobile rendition, too Smile

All great. I love the Batgirls, particularlly the first one. I love the shading, the faces and the wrinkles on the stomache of the suit . But it wouldn't of hurt to put more cape definition on the first and a longer cape on the second.

That Catwoman is weak for you?! That's you doing poorley?! Sure the eyes are out of line a little and the left glove looks kinda wanky, but it's a superbly shaded piece! You should see the crap I draw when I get bored. (You don't want to, I make van Gogh roll in his grave...)

The first Batman is great, particularlly the shading. But the emblem seems a little low on the chest.

The second Batman down is badass, great shading and perportions, the left arm seems a little small, but that's the only flaw I can see.

I love that Joker & Harley one, great fabric definition and facial expressions. Though the lighting on Harley's butt looks a little wierd.

Great work, I too am inspired by your magnificence! Keep drawing.

I probably should have made the cape more detailed on the first, but I was running out of page, and I don't think I even finished that one yet. Her hair isn't even completly shaded!! embarrassed

Well the Catwoman is probably not the worst I can do, but it's not the best either. I just felt like drawing Catwoman, because that's what I was for halloween. Smile

For the emblem on Batman's chest I wanted to make it large enough to define his chest, and give it a little depth, but I may have made it too large and too low, as you said.

The second Batman was the second Jim Lee style Batman I ever tried to draw. I'm trying to find the first, when I do I'll post it.

I had some problems with the lighting on Harley. I couldn't find a decent picture to use as reference, so I don't think I drew her stomache very well, and the lighting is very wierd.

I'm glad my artwork can inspire you guys!!! big grin

I think the second one is a little too mucsular. I like to make my female characters look athletic, not buff. The second one isn't quite in the realm of buff, but it treads on manly, especially in the legs.

Lol!! I better draw a Batmobile!! wink I have some more artwork to post, but they are very large, so it will take a while to scan.
