Hey everyone,
Well, after months of saying I'd do it (I don't think I ever said it in here though), I FINALLY had the guts to create my very first music video for Batman Begins. I chose a song that was different from other videos. Typically someone uses a hard rock band and to me it didn't fit Batman. The character seemed to be a low-key, somber kind of guy. Loud music wouldn't do him justice. I used the song "Darkness" by Darren Hayes because it wasn't hardcore and the lyrics fit the movie perfectly. So while watching, please pay special attention to the lyrics and the tempo. Please let me know what you think.
So without further ado, here it is

PS: Keep in mind this was my FIRST time editing something. |

Very well done. It's the Batman best fan video I've scene yet. I like the way the lyrics actually match the movie; unlike most times where it's about date rape or something. I like that way you arranged some scenes so that you see the effect of his actions before you see his actions.
The song does get a little repetitive. And you could have shaved off some of the mouth flaps to make some scenes feel a little less out of place; for instance the "Nice coat" scene would have worked better if the hobo saw him and then he lifted off without a word.
Never start with the head; the victim gets all fuzzy!

Thanks! Your words mean a lot to me. As for the mouthing of words, I definitly agree with you. I noticed it after I started watching it in full.
I'll work on it next time.
I wonder what other people think. |

i think the song matches batman really well; especially young bruce wayne. but it felt a little awkard at times; the video would be intense, but the music would be calm. besides that, i really enoyed it.
so 5/5 for originality. people usually use breaking benjamin, and thats fine...but it's getting old. i've never heard of that song until now. and from now on, i'll think of it as a "batman song" lol.

Yeah, I made sure I used a song that wasn't so popular.
Come on, people, please let me know what you think. |

I guess I'm just excited in sharing I was proud of doing. So far, it seems positive. |

Kick butt man, nice. Very very cool. What editing program did you use? It's nice, b/c unlike some movies theres no apparent digital copyright marks on the Bgins DVD, making it easy to record online and make stuff with. Awhile back I used scenes from all Batman related stuff (TAS, JL, the movies) to make a vid about Bruce's parents dying, but my pc crashed a year or so back and I lost it Good work though!

Thanks! I used iMovie on my Mac. I don't know how to use Final Cut but after doing this, I'm interested in learning. |
